West Ham 1 Tottenham 0 : Half Time Harry

Trailing Leg Incident

Penalty or not? Green's trailing leg caught Keane. I don't want to come across as lacking passion here, but until the video ref is brought in there is zero point in whining. It wasn't given. So end of.

How are we doing? The midfield is congested enough. Jenas is actually having a good game. Bale needs to be shown more of the ball. Steed is doing remarkably with the ping pong of passes he is having thrown at him. Zokora has done well enough too. A few timely tackles and a few half decent charges.

Berbatov is stationary, yet total class. Oh and Martin Jol: See how Lennon WORKS on the right.

Elsewhere, West Ham are eminently beatable. Once you get past the fouling they have only work rate and determination. Two elements that Tottenham often lack.

Apparently getting kicked in the mid section is simulating a foul now

YOU DO NOT LET JERMAIN DEFOE TAKE PENALTIES! simple as that. Keane was off the pitch, but Bent has proved himself in penalty taking for Charlton, and berbatov was on form today. Defoe wasn't.
Nice one JD, you just cost us two very valuable points.

So the players let us down again.
What a depressing season this continues to be.
I know you judge a manager over time, but maybe it's a bit clearer that the players are continually the problem, and nobody could work well with this group.
Chimbonda, Zokora, Malbranque, Kaboul, Lennon and Berbatov.
These players have been so poor and should go.
Not that it really matters who we bring in.
So diappointed with us...

A bit harsh, mate ?
Sure, as all penalties, you don't expect the keeper to get to it, but with Keane OFF, what is JD's record, at Tottenham, for taking spot kicks? Pretty good?

yeah and Berbatov on form today?
If running straight into two players and losing the bal about a dozen times, aswell as moaning all the time about not having the ball delivered on a platter whilst hardly ever doing more than hitting hopeful balls yourself is "on form".
Also nice little dig at Jol with the Lennon remark Harry. Cos Jol never played him on the right did he? Mug.
Lennon is woeful on either flank 75% of the time, but yeah you crack on...(Until Ramos decides to experiment or alter shape and then you'll probably start moaning)
If Lennon was any good he could play left, there's no reason why he cant be effective out there other than his own deficiencies.
Shame Jol didn't get his way with SWP and 5 million.
Still in January we can look forward to some 3rd rate frenchman and if we are really lucky we may get Kanoute back, that would be exciting seeing as he's already failed with us once!

Thought we did well personally.Remember this is thier cup final and we went took control of the game early doors to shut em up and they were lucky to score(when will the penny drop for kabhoul that you dont have much time) should of had at least a goal in the first half on balance of play, second half i thought we was always brave(unlike jol era)Ramos showed serious balls to take off kabhoul even though no centre back on the bench go 352 and go for it and bang we get a goal,i thought pascal and zakora ,lennon did admirably when we changed things with them in diff positions etc and it showed me the players believe in juande, it was refreshing that it wasnt us hanging on for the point at the end and just a shame jermaine didnt tuck it away!we will spank wet spam at the lane mark my words! all in all good away point, still unbeaten under ramos with some home games coming up.
