Ledley King No Closer To Returning

Injuries injuries...
Bale is still out. Which is rubbish news.

As are Rocha, Gardner and Ekotto. Which is no news at all.

And I take no pleasure in passing on the fact that King is still no closer to returning. Word is that that there have been a couple of 'setbacks' in his recovery schedule and training with the reserves is now thought to be at least another fortnight away.

The King situation is depressing. Let's really hope that DC has the wit to source a quality centre back come the next transfer window. Or is the plan that we continue to wait forever for Ledders to 'hopefully' return for 'some' games?

I'm afraid it's looking less and less likely that King can be relied upon ever again. Such a shame as he is such a solid and intelligent player. The club need to get some balls now and go out and buy the best CB available, someone who would be first choice. Then, IF King returns, he plays alongside the new guy. Some people have an emotional attachment to King as club captain etc but we mustn't be afraid to move on if it's in the best interests of the team.

I can’t believe the negative sentiment being expressed towards Ledley. Yes, he’s injured a lot of the time, but when fit he’s a world-class centre back and he’s true Spurs.

Spurs 4 Wigan 1

The 'negative sentiment' is from him being injured 'forever'.
We all love him but he's no use to anyone on the bench.

my m8s dad is the head physio at spurs (wayne diesel) ne he says that king has been running for the past 3 weeks since the newcastle game, and is due to start ball work within the next 2 weeks. there hasnt been any set-backs, they just dont want to rush him back, so that when he is back, hes fully fit, back to his old form, and we can hav him for the rest of the season.

so get off ledleys back, hes gunna get fit, n wen he does well see a better spurs team aswell.

Analogy... You are an employer.. you have Two employees. One is brilliant can do everything and does it well... The problem is he's always off sick when he is in he comes in late...

The other employee is a good worker steady not brilliant never gonna set the world on fire. He's always in and in on time...

You have to let one go...

Who do you let go.. ?

I think Ledley falls in to analogy....

James, you say he's due to start ball work in the next 2 wks and HH says he's due to start playing with the reserves in the next fortnight. Sounds like very similar info to me. Except if your're not fill of sh*te you can confirm what's wrong with him and is it long term?
