Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal Prematch Prattle

Wenger's Little Helpers

Bent, Lennon and Sir Anthony Gardner are all back from the brink. Arsenal are without Gallas, Eboue, the banned Senderos and that German idiot with the thinning perm.

My guess is that Lennon will start and Jol will hope to get a belter of a first half out of him, then play it by ear. My hope is that he gives his all and we can then throw Taarabt at them.

I've banged on about bravery in recent weeks, but if we are to shake off the depressing memory of the Fulham game we need to take this match by the scruff of the neck. That means having a good commanding game, Mr Jenas. So get stuck in.

It must have dawned on Jol by now that if he he does not set out his stall to win this game then he is heading for disaster. No holding patterns, no absorbing pressure, Spurs need to play to their strengths and get the goals in. If he wants to nick a goal and then 'hold the line' we will be humiliated. Again.

Referee is Mark 'Baby Faced But Balding' Clattenburg who is a bit wet, but Arsenal tend to generally conduct themselves in a superior manner to the likes of Cheatski and Manchester United when it comes to leaning on referees so we ought get a fair run out.

Robinson, Berbatov and Keane will all stroll out boosted by a faultless International performances and frankly I expect us to win.

BET 365 will give you 20/1 for my 3-1 prediction. After his two in the week and guaranteed start, 'Berbatov at Anytime' seems a banker, even at non life changing 11/5.
COYS!

Come on you Lillywhites!

Put your money on 3-1 to the Mighty Arsenal, have a nice feeling inside me, almost like a warm wind in the south of France that we´ll score the first goal at WHL this time, and you know what´ll happen then, DON`T YOU?

Scum losing Gallas, Eboe and Lehman are massive plusses for us. Lennon and Bent back are 2 more.

Super Spurs season will get back on track today and the Scum's will start to go awry and WE will be the instigators - SWEET. It's all part of BMJ's master plan, I tell you.

I Love Martin Jol, gonna lead the boys into Europe, baby!

I reckon we are gonna give the Scum a good spanking today. 3 or 4 - 0. Lennon to start, play for 60 mins then replaced by Taarabt with Malbranque switching. He will scare the fucking life out of 'em!
Jenas and Thud to boss the middle with Berbie and Keane each getting a brace. Or I could be wrong!! Where's Scoochy and JGM???

COYS

Scoochy the gay is probably afraid to come back after his last gang raping on HH and JGM, you seem a little.....mellow. Where's the fire gone?

Jesus. Another sad header photo from several decades ago. Let's hope you win the derby tomorrow, if for no other reason than it will allow you to upload photos from the post-colour-photography-is-a-new-technology
era.

Demolition, destruction, rout, a good old spanking. All things that I would love to see happen, but unfortunately I highly doubt. I want to see the grittiest, most determined display by Spurs that any spurs fan has ever seen. This game will be won by our boys, not by Jols noggin. Show your true characters lads and if it means we see some S&M action, bring it on!

Expect Jol to be sacked!!!!!

I've just returned from the lane, and I must say that Jol's timing and use of subs are unacceptable.

At 1-1 - Jol (68min) took Bale off and brought Lennon on!! What the hell was he thinking of!!!!

Clearly our midfield were tiring (Huddlestone, Jenas & Malbranque) He should have subbed two of them off !!!

Expect Jol to be sacked in the very near future!!!!

Anonymous said...

Another piss-poor result after all that cash spent in the summer. Time to boot that useless cunt out now!

Anonymous said...

Getting tired of all the expectations and left feeling deflated and pissed off. Maybe the Jol out merchants have a point? How long do you give him?
6 games; 1 win against the bottom club, 1 draw and 4 losses just isn't good enough. At this rate we are going to struggle Thursday.
Can't wait for work on Monday :-(

Can't even be bothered with coys

Harry,

What are we going to do?

I don't understand why Bale was subbed. Throwing away another lead against Arsenal just isn't on. And for Bent to miss a golden chance just makes me cringe. Where do we go from here? It was clear to see that the lads were motivated, but if we couldn't finish a game off at home whilst leading, and already under pressure from previous results, what is the future of Jol?

Anonymous said...

Once again the entire team never managed to defend a lead and Jol going isn't gonna change diddly squat. We never closed them down when they had the ball. Instead we backed off as we always do and they got 3 goals bacause of it.

If anything it could have been even more but for Robinson and some poor finishing by the Arse.

Berbatov shoulda made it 2 when he rounded Almunia. All that was needed was a cheeky lob, just like he did for Bulgaria earlier in the week.

Anonymous said...

Harry, do you now accept that Jol should be sacked for bad management of the team???

* strange timing and use of subs ,

* team fitness,

* team organisation,

* use of players

* lack of points

* throwing games away

Hmmmmnnn think that was the result the board were waiting for...

I've been a long time jol supporter but I'm afraid I think his days are numbered

The worst thing is I'm not that down about the result..... 'cause I was ezpecting it, Last year I always thought we were in with a chance

Lets hope things improve

sigh

COYS!!!!!!!!!!!

More like "Come on you Board" and sack Jol!!!

Anonymous said...

bale was subbed because he was injured. he limped off the field.

i'm gonna go get drunk now.

I don't know if firing Jol would be the right move here. We're clearly a team lacking confidence. I think Jol's sacking would just kill what little morale we have left. Someone needs to go, though. I think it falls on Comolli.

Sheikh Gareemi Nahan said...

I've backed Jol throughout all the bad times and I still do in part. I'm just sick fed up with the same old shit: throwing away leads, flapping at crosses etc. Players are as much to blame as Jol. Board is more to blame than either aforementioned parties. The Carrick saga is testament to that.

The question is: If Capello or Lippi or Ramos inherited the current squad, would they be able to improve us, bearing in mind they don't speak English and don't know the squad?

Over to you Sir Harold...

If these results are not a sacking offence then I do not what is!!!!

11/08 Sunderland (Away) Lost 1-0

14/08 Everton (Home) Lost 3-1

18/08 Derby (Home)Won 4-0

26/08 Man Utd (Away) Lost 1-0

01/09 Fulham (Away) Drew 3-3

15/09 Arsenal (Home) Lost 3-1

If you go to the Spurs website it says:

FINISHING THE KEY
Martin Jol pinpointed Arsenal's clinical finishing as the difference between the sides as the Gunners left the Lane with all three points on Saturday.

What game was hew watching?

He has been spouting a lot of rubbish recently on whats wrong!!!

But what is wrong is his management of the team:

* timing and use of subs!!!

* lack of keeping the team in an organisation shape!!!

* lack of fitness!!!

* Subbing the left backs, when clearly midfield is getting tired!!!

* but why are they getting tired? What is going on in training?

In summary, Jol must be sacked with immediate effect!!!

Match of the Day, has just show our problems at defending i.e. being wide open and not closing down. Shippng too many goals.

What the hell is Jol & co doing. This is just not good enough!! Face facts it really is time for him to go.
