Ok so he can hit a free kick and juggle a ball in practice... can he tackle, mark players and defend and does he have any pace.£10 million for a 17 year old seems a lot of money. I would rather see less spent on a proven lift sided midfielder.
Although lets be honest if he did sign I would be delighted if the hype proves to be true.

No way worth £10m... unproven talent and the Premier League is way above the fizzy pop league. Looks very good going forward and skilful too but probably worth a punt at about £4.5m..which is still alot..

The money wouldn't be lost. We'd probably get double that after a few years. Remember that an 8m bid from Man Utd failed so forget about a 4.5m offer

If sven would have taken him to germany he would fetch 20 million.

Only one problem with that - he's Welsh!

seen him almost every opportunity and as you'd expect, he isn't as strong as a lot of his opponents, but he isn't a push over neither. he's a very good defender, in the championship atleast, and when he's played for wales he's held his own, he didn't do to badly against brazil at white hart lane!

The hype about Bale is real, and 10mn would be worth a punt. He will be the faster and more clinical version of our old Ziege.

Also, we got away super cheap with Lennon whom we bought at about the same age as Bale currently is. In less than 2 years, Lennon is probably worth 15-20mn now.

It will be the same with Bale, or even more, given the new and generous premiership prize money structure starting from next season.

"Forget the fans. Spurs stars are nothing without trophies", said the boss.
Good show, MJol!
If they would care less about their egos and concentrate more on the victories, oh what a team they could be!
After watching the "Da Vinci Code" we learned what cups stand for- what's a man without a woman?
-it's a footballer without a cup !
Thrash the scum!
COYS!

Sven is the new deconstructed jack charlton.

Maybe Big Jack could manage Wales?

Maybe bale's worth 10 mil to manure but not to Spurs. Perhaps under fergy's tutelage and with the manure team around him he'd become a 10+ mil player but who knows whether Jol and the boys would get the same out of him? I sometimes wonder whether if Jol had bought any of the manure or arse**l youngsters, that they would be performing at the same level they are now. Jol's recently been questioning the quality of our players but I think he has as much to prove as they do. Having said that, I'm right behind all of them.
Just some thoughts.

Go on the Spurs!

after all, they need the fans, Jol says now. help! if the manager is a contradiction in terms how can he motivate the players?
they need the fans to win home, that means they will never win away ! f..k! the future looks bright already!

"without Berbs we're done , mates!"
I wrote that more than one month ago. Tonight everybody realized it's the truth.
Bye Carling Cup!
(I don't even dare to think what can happen Saturday at the FA CUP with Berbs out!!!)

Yes, I totally agree with you (above) Berbs is soo very important to us we shouldn't even bother turning up in the return leg..lets give up now and save face.

I'm off to Severn Sisters to chuck myself off the bridge.. anyone want to join me?

It was unfortunate to lose Berba so early in the match but we could have done a lot more to prevent the arse's fightback.

I was screaming my head off to Jol to bring Mido on since the 60th. Wenger brought on Hleb and Eboue so they had more experienced heads and fresher legs on the pitch.
And the match was crying for an in-your-face battering ram approach from Spurs to put pressure on the arse's defence.

Jol also blamed tiredness and but only brought Mido on at the 80th minute? Blame yourself you fat idiot. For 50 quid, it was a crap match to watch.

Sorry lads, I think Jol is just not good enough.

They have one of the worlds best managers and top players. Some of you expect too much. we did well to be 2-0 up at half time but we had to run our tits off to make it happen whereas they made the ball work for them in the 2nd half and we couldn't keep up or keep possession. They had quality in all positions but we lacked a quality left back, central defender (Gardener), left winger(2nd half) and central midfielder (Zakora's a midfield sweeper and not good enough to play the creative roll).

Ours is not a well balanced or complete team by any stretch and we did ok to draw against a side which tanked liverpool the other day. We're still IN this competition by the way. A one nil win at the bin ladium would do it. Not an impossible task even if we're not favourites. King & Jenas might be back and fingers crossed Berby.

We need to learn how to back-off and calm down without giving the ball away. To control things better, make the ball work for us and get them chasing it a little. We don't frustrate sides. We're either gung ho or defending deep. We're too 2 dimensional and badly need to strengthen our left side.

Incidentaly did you notice that we beat arse**ls (real) reserve side 3-0 a few days ago and Taraabt ran the show from the front of midfield. I really hope to see some of him early next season along with bale (if we could pull that off, not holding my breath). Last season didn't fool me into high expectations this year. I'm enjoying our football despite its ups and downs and I'm aware of how much talent is readying itself for the next few seasons. We're still competing in all the cups and we have a revenge match at the emirates on the horizon. Great support at the lane by the way.

Keep the faith.

Go on the Spurs!

Robbo still captain.
Jol still manager.
Spurs fans telling The Guardian Berbatov is rubbish.
A cold freezing nightmare.
Arse has got two teams. It's their year. They can win it all.
I feel sick.
Get well soon Berba, I liked your celebration.
