Tottenham Hotspur's Most Wanted? THE GARETH BALE VIDEO SHOWCASE

I have no more idea if we are actually in the process of securing the talents of this lad than perhaps any of you, but watching this montage is no unpleasant task while we wait to find out...

At least in contrast to a lot of the Walnut stuff that was floating about, this footage doesn't quite have his mum on the audio shouting him in for his tea.

What do you say then folks?

Looks good, god knows we need someone . . . . . . Worth the money? We'll just have to wait to find out. Can't wait!

wow, looks better than y.p.lee and he's only 17!!!

nice goals BUT... can he defend? if he isnt up to scratch on that then whats the point in splashing out

I watched this guy play in the Wales v Brasil friendly at the Lane, and he definitely stood out as a great talent - out of the Wales players prob bettered only by Giggs (who incidentally he linked up briliantly with on the left... if only!)

looks good.checkout mcgeady of celtic...fantastic.

well the tricks and all the fancy footwork is good but im not sure if he will be able to cope with the premiership. Most of the championship players are not that good so he will need to be very focused if he wants to succeed in the premiership. Overall i think he will be a good addition for our left side problem aand hopefully will be worth the ten million if we do pay it.

i dont think he is worth £10million, even though its spread over time and performances. and his freekicks will become useless in the premier league because its in the same place same style every time. any goalkeeper worth £10 will save them.

the showboating with the ball control skills.... well i hate to break the bad news, but tainio and davids both do that, davids being the best pro-footballer in the world for it. so it means sod all seeing him do that.

and i am sure that based on Mr.Woo's displays of ball control, he must be the best footballer in the world!

Thoughts about him playing on the wing instead of left-back?

The video is about 10 times as long as it needs to be, though, probably because we get to see all his goals 4 times each?

dead ball specialist - excellent. can he defend though as someone else said? if not, 10mil for a teenage free kick taker? who knows? if he signs i guess he will go back to the south coast til july.
anyhow we cant sign him - we've already got a number 22 - cant see him beating up hudds for the shirt !!!

The next Wayne Rooney/Theo Wallcott of defence. Awesome, 17 years old. The championship is quality and he is cream of the crop at 17. Couple years and watch out. Bargain at 10mil. Get him, get him, get him.
Another note, instead of buying everybody and their dog, try keeping some sort of core group of guys for a while, when somebody has a bad game or tottenham is doing poorly everyones fing excuse is to buy more players. We have quality lets use it.

Yes please!! would look great scoring those goals in a tottenham shirt...

Would it be wildly cavalier of me to say that we have pots of cash and I'd rather see him in a Lillywhite shirt than yet again watch Le Ars* or Manchester United snap up a whippersnapper superstar?

Better for sure than paying god knows how much to Beckham for one season to keep him and his awful wife in diamond encrusted toilet roll holders or whatever they have resorted to spending their lolly on.

i saw him at the lane wales v brazil and he didnt give the brazil rite-siders a chance - in the first few secs he tackled one of them and wasnt fooled by ronaldinhos Elastico... twice! instead he jus tackled him! he looked as sound as a pound at the bak and goin forward, creatin and scorin looks pretty damn good too

£10 mill? hmmm but wud def like to see him in an spurs shirt

vid's not available any more.

Completely disagree with you. He takes them as well as beckham ever did. Look at his angle of approach, the distance, pace, curve and steep trajectory of the ball as it enters the goal in at least one of the freekicks. Exactly the sort of strike which keepers find extremely hard to stop. In my view.

manure are said to be about to match our offer for bale but with the option of southampton keeping him for at least the rest of this season which would suit his manager no end.

It would take a miracle of sorts to persuade him that Spurs is his best choice even with the almost guarantee of early first team action with very little if any competition.

So allegedly southampton prefer our offer and we're persuading bale that Spurs are the better option. He's said to have changed his mind on the manure preference.

Allegedly.
