Tottenham Hotspur: Liverpool Away Predictions

This game'll be interesting. The screaming for Jol's head had reached such intensity come half time against Villa that only dogs could hear it. Then we had Robbie Keane go all Alistair Campbell on us. Anorthosis was, apparently, about 'not losing'.

Here's the team I'd field.

Cerny
Chimbonda Dawson Kaboul Lee
Malbranque Jenas Bale
Taraabt
Berbatov Keane

My prediction? Heart says we achieve something quite extraordinary like a 0-2 win as Benitez bewilders his squad with 'a crazy selection'. Head says we nick a 1-1 draw.

In my little fantasy world and after coming back from 4-1 down against Villa 1-0 to the Spurs?! In reality 3-0 Jol sacked.

hard game we did not deserve to lose 3-0 last time. I'd say 2-1 to us that is if we play good and if we play bad we will lose 3-1 and Jol finally getting the boot.

Anonymous said...

Jol will not get the boot if we lose this game cos there is no one to replace him and that is a fact!!! i feel we can sneak a win or hold out for a draw

My prediction-

Fatty Arbuckle

Chimbo, Daws, Kabbo

French Fancy, Bale

He's a Yiddo, Keano, Barabos, The Bender

Jol to go down fighting...

we lose 16-0

we'll go 1-0 up, concede a deflected goal from the edge of the box (prob Gerrard) then fall apart letting in the usual 'You'll never score another like this' and 'last minute' goals... hope not though, if we play well enough then anything is possible but it's almost a certainty that we'll concede...

Couldn't put it better myself sir.

We'll be up for it - well, for an hour anyway when we'll fall behind and the papers will be syaing that Hughes was seen at WHL at 6am Sunday morning.

God knows, anything could happen, the only certainty, like the above said, is that we'll concede some shockingly embarrassing goals to go towards Booboo's 'highlights' compilation at the end of the season

Will be an interesting game and one we can win if we play like we did against Man Ure. Let's hope Rafa 'rests' Torres and plays a strange team, as he likes to do.

My team for tomorrow would be:

Robbo - he'll play no matter what :(
Chimbonda - pretty solid most games
Dawson - must defend well soon
Kaboul - must defend better but his attacking his good
Lee - he gives 100% each game
Lennon - if he is fit
Jenas - if he is fit
Zokora - need some pace in the middle
Bale - enough said
Berbatov - needs to wake up
Defoe - will scare them

Scoreline will probably be 3-0 or 3-1 to Liverpool, though there's every chance of a 2-0 to Tottenham.

Sounds sensible enough Harry...

I suspect a spirited 0-1 or 1-2 reverse and that's probably a good result with Dracula in goal. You know, the guy who can't bear crosses....where is Peter Cushing...put this guy out of his misery!!!!!!! Holy water somebodeeeeeeee......

Anonymous said...

Harry, I don't know if Taarabt will get a start at Anfield. He couldn't even get 10 minutes in Cyprus, which still bewilders me.

Could well be Tainio. Jol likes him on away days.

Anonymous said...

everyone is dreaming if they think defoe will play instead of keane but clever tactics by defoe though backing JOL as manager 2day, may get more starts now!!! Bent may even get a chance 2moro, his due a start!!!! coys

No point in making pie in the sky team selection wishes because you just know Jol will revert to type.

Can we keep a clean sheet at Anfield? Probably Not

OK then can we keep them down to one, score twice and nick a win. On current form it seems highly unlikely.

Quite honestly I will be pleased when the game is over. Thinking about the it and the fear of a drubbing is spoiling my weekend.

gonna get stuffed i reckon unfortunately, hopefully get a draw and thats being optimistic! the stupid thing is if we score first we will def not win, because mr negative will do his usual, 0.0 or 1.1 with 10 to go and we got a chance to nick it or if we losing by 1 we might get a draw

Anonymous said...

I reckon Liverpool are gonna do u boys 1-0 although I think your play well and not be rewarded. A bit like when u played Man U. You're hold out until late doors and then Gerrard will bang one in after constant Scouse pressure. I bet ur fat keeper BLOBinson plays a blinder tomorrow, I heard Spuds have changed their bonus policy from cash to pies to fire up BLOBinson. Wrighty7

My thoughts 2-1 to Spurs. Or 4-0 to Liverpool. We can play much better, but will the real Berbatov turn up or not, will the defense turn up. Not a game for the faint hearted/Spurs fan.

Wow...what team have you guys been watching?.....this is gonna get very very embarassing...we leak like sh*t to crap teams....pool are gonna take that back line....and the hapless Robinson apart!. Our midfield will not even compete with a greek sunday side.....

No I amnot a Pool fan...I just think you guys need to wake up and smell the roses.

The only good thing that willcome from this is a good hiding at Anfield will HOPEFULLY get rid of Jol and Houghton.

Prediction....we will laek at least five......

Mine Would Be........
Robbo
Chimbonda Kaboul Dawson Bale

Lennon Zokora Keane Taarabt

Defoe Or Bent Berbatov

Check out my entry on your petition HARRY number 516 i think..... to funny

Anonymous said...

i having a sneaking suspicion that we'll be seeing bent from the start. what a disaster that would be. for me, it's always got to be keano and berbatov at the top. I can't really understand what all this moaning about berbatov's laziness is about. last season we called it efficient movement, and we worried about people confusing it with laziness. did you see his emotion after the first goal against villa? that was a yiddo screaming through and through. we have to build around Him if we want reach the upper echelons.

Anonymous said...

It's bound to be a 0-0 or 0-1 to us so that the Jol magical mystery tour can continue for a few more weeks until we are firmly rooted in the fertilizer. Liverpool, you don't need to turn up today as there is nothing you can do about it. The Jol mojo is too powerful

jiz monkeys every last one o'yer

'pool haven't conceded a goal from open play. we concede goals from every type of play. This will not end well...

did anyone see the totally despicable rob beasley on sky sports this morning? totally biased against spurs. had me spitting feathers. that show is so shit. email him at n.o.t.w.co.uk

coys - a point or 3 to prove today to all the doubters.

jimi jazz - the police came looking for you....

What's the point in foolish optimism?
The last time we got a result at Anfield it was Klinsmann who scored ( and it was the FA Cup )
Too late Mr Jol

BERBY

Zok to stick to SG like glue

Taraabt at the mo is an impact sub

Mark my words with this team we will win - Don't muck about HH and forward this onto MJ - Yiddonick

Jol can take Robbo with him to Fray Bentos FC.
Why is he so commited to players who under perform ( robbo, jenas). The crunch match for Jol at Anfield and he picks Robbo and we ar 1-0 down after 12 minutes........
Anyone got any sympathy left for Jol?

ok , that fat useless cunt gifts the opposition another goal , drop the fat useless cunt now jol u fat useless cunt, wat is this anyway , a overactive pie arm love thing?? richieg

Embarrasing really

Seems Robbo is doing his best to see a repeat of Leeds 2004 !!

I like the bloke but FOR FUCKS SAKE ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Anonymous said...

The 2nd goal - sigh. Another cross that goes all the way across the face of goal and lands 3-4 yards into the 6 yard box.

Pepe Reina took every ball out of the air that came anywhere close to his box. Instead Robbo is tripping over himself to get off the line, and then ends up getting beat short side.

Chimbo and Daws will get the abuse for that goal, but no other team has a keeper that allows that ball to land his box. It's impossible to defend in the air that close to the goal.

Anonymous said...

well, HH, you really nicked a draw, a good result with the Pool.

but Berbo didn't score again.

and now for the national teams, I've got good news for Jol ( Netherlands will go through) and for the real Dracula ( Romania also) and bad news for the pseudo-Dracula ( Bulgaria won't).

I'm BAAADDDD!!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not again!!!! Hand me the prozac now!

I'm at a loss. Ok, so all keepers mess up, but keeping goal is what they do for a living. This is what they TRAIN for, day in, day out. They hone their skills, refine their spatial awareness and sharpen their reflexes. At least, I assume they do. Maybe they just eat pies instead.

Stopping the occasional shot is not enough. Not from a trained footballer; and certainly not from, ostensibly, the best keeper in England. FFS, just doing his job for once would be a relief; but shouldn't we expect something exceptional from this guy? I mean, isn't he supposed to prevent goals that most in his position can't, being possessed of extraordinary qualities?

As someone said, every shot saved or caught is like a goal scored these days. Another observation I'd agree with is that, if Jol drops Robbo at this point, it could ruin him as a first-class keeper. It would take enormous effort to retrieve lost form.

But there's no room for sentimentality. This isn't a nursing-home for damaged confidences or injured bodies.

What to do? We either go with Cerny and accept the consequences to Robbo's psyche. Or we encourage the pie-eating in extremis, so that Robbo's bulk fills the entire goalmouth, and he can just kind of oscillate from side to side to block shots.

Or there's always extra-curricula training on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

Almost beat liverpool away.

Stop your girly f*cking whinging.

I reckon that Spurs will go a goal down, I fancy Vorinon to score, but I feel Spurs will have a bit about them and hit back with two Keane goals and lead until the last minute when Torres will break Spurs hearts by scoring in the last minute. Screwing.
