Tottenham Hotspur : Berbatov Happy To Walk

Bulgaria's top striker Dimitar Berbatov has received his Glory Star on the Walk of Fame in Sofia...

This was the twelfth time that Bulgarians were handed the 'honourable plate' in a red carpet ceremony.

After the ceremony Dimitar was asked about his raised profile since joining the top five Super Spurs...

"You tell me if I am famous! I have not changed at all from the time I played for CSKA FC and drove a Zhiguli,"

He is planning to organize a charity game with world-famous football players in Sofia in September. Berbatov being a good will ambassador for UNICEF plans to invite at least two football stars to Bulgaria.

The stars already shining on the Walk of Fame belong to the star ice-skating duo Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviiski, artist Vezshdi Rashidov, former football star Hristo Stoitchkov, folk singer Valya Balkanska, pop singer Lili Ivanova, violin virtuoso Vasko Vassilev, Bulgaria's first cosmonaut Georgi Ivanov, clarinet player Ivo Papazov and the three Maleeva sisters.

You can tell it's the off season, can't you!

With thanks to All White.

Silva looks quality, think he is in same class as sneijder. If we are to challenge top 4 we have to splash the cash on either or both of these 2. even if we pay 12-15m we need quality now not a kid that may be good in a couple of years.
Come on levy open that wallet big time, not that i'm getting impatient of course. Gallers

Silva looks quality as well as scoring a few. Think we need to go after him ,sneider or petrov even if it means paying 12-15m. We need to sign quality to challenge top four, not a bunch of teenagers that might be good in a couple of years. Come on Daniel show people we mean business and get that wallet out. Not that i'm getting impatient

One question.... why would David Villa want to come to us?

Petrov, I would agree with, but Sneijder or Villa? Why would the latter two want to come to us when they have the prospect of playing Champions League next season?

I kind of get bored with all these names bandied about and fans saying we should "break the bank" to sign them, as if Spurs is the logical choice for them.

If they sign, then it would be a statement of our intent, but I won't be holding my breath in any way shape or form.

Watch this lads! Lovely bit of skill against a top class team, who in the end had to foul him to stop him!

Harry, have to say you are the hardest working Spurs Blogger on the planet mate.

Whilst lesser sites grind on with transfer lies, the boy Hotspur gets global for our delectation!

Cheers.
