Spurs Fans In The Dock

Tottenham fans frequently get called 'fickle'. Usually, I might add, by other Spurs fans. They should more accurately be branded 'belligerent' instead.

Let me be clear. When Steed Malbranque fired home for Seville a few weeks back, I was distraught. It would have been a disaster against anyone, let alone against a team that would be equally at home in the Champions League. In the heat of the moment I wanted him flogged, then flogged off. But you gotta let it go, people...

The last two games I have attended were Ars*nal and Man City. At the Ars*nal game, his image was booed on the Jumbotron. Yesterday it was as he warmed up. To those of you responsible, Would you care to put me out my misery and tell me exactly where this is going?

Do you want him to come back a better player? Do you want him to come back at all? Do you want him to leave? Do you want blood? Or are you just a mindless cretin constantly with on eye on the next poor schmuck to bully?

You don't want him in your team?

Well I don't want you in mine. Until you can learn what support means, naff off and support someone else.

Harry, you wanna get yourself down the Lane once in a while.
It's Steeeeeeeed and i think 99% of people that go to WHL know that.
The 1% includes old man boogaloo who is deaf.

I wasn't there yesterday, but I did attend Arsenal and you are right and his name was booed.

The group next to me actually started laughing as one of their number was 'comedy booing' and shouting 'sell him' then shouted 'kill him'...

Harry - talking of people saying unforgiveable things - was it not you that was saying Ledley was crocked and would not play again ... apology and penitence required? The anti-Jol whingers and the other damaging Spurs "fans" need to recognise that with no left side, with bedding in new players in the first half of the season and some players not at top form we were fifth and if you put the first half of last season and the second half of this season together we would have comfortably qualified for the Champions League.

Anonymous said...

what an idiot maybe get your facts right before slating the fans....maybe if you went to the lane a little more and spent less time being an armchair fan you would realise that we dont boo him we just say STEEEEEDD.... knumbnuts!!

Anonymous said...

that wasn't booing you donut, it was steeeed!

Anonymous said...

It certainly is the way the name "Steed" is annunciated and not booing!

Come on Harry, you are usually more "on the ball! than this?!

Anonymous said...

enough talking about this season. it's off, lads.
next season: buy a left winger and a midfielder and build the team around the king. it's not King, but Berba, we all know that. I would get the two Petrovs, the club has money enough for it.

alphy, were the first half of the season and second half of the season not 'together'?

Just imagine if could reproduce the results of the last game of the season over nexts seasons whole 38? Awesome.

12.38 and 12.54 Try reading what a wrote you pair of ******* oafs.

As I wrote....I was at both the games I mentioned. Also, tahnks for pointing out the bleedin obvious, I am very familiar with the Steeeeeeeeeeed chant.

Do you think you are the only fans on the planet? Or just the most well informed?

Maybe if you could embrace the concept that perhaps, just perhaps, just because there weren't people booing near you that that didn't mean it wasn't happening anywhere in the ground.

You're so quick to try and catch me out... try engaging your brain.

imagine if Spurs could combine a human and a kangeroo and play him up front

please feel free to read my comment. thankyou very much.

well said alphy, hh usually jumps on jols back so its funny to see him defending steed. i know jol can be too defensive sometimes but no one gave him credit for bringing on keano to salvage a poing against blackburn. everyone seems to give someone at spurs a hardtime (i am not perfect jenas can drive me nuts) but all in all a good season with a couple of new faces 4th for spurs next season

Anonymous said...

harry maybe you could engage your brain to the fact that you are wrong??? and unless the majority of the ground WAS booing why right the article you plum..just admit that you may have got it wrong and move on to something positive about the club please

Anonymous said...

think you need a hearing aid

Anonymous said...

I always heard frued being boo'ed at the lane too haha

Anonymous said...

Gotta disagree with you Harry. From the upper east next to the south stand (where i've sat for every game) Steeeeeed has been shouted. No booing in that mans direction - although he may deserve it sometimes as he seems to give the ball away as much as Ghaly.

Anonymous said...

right thats one from the east upper saying you are wrong...i was in the south lower and only heard Steeeeeeedddddd...theres never any noise from the west stand apart from the sound of bagels being eaten so that just leaves the paxton...any paxton fans wanna back up harry?

Anonymous said...

Harry. Can't believe you think you can get away voicing your own opinion on your own site.

Kill yourself immeadiately, cheers.

Olly Bartlett said...

Sorry Harry, but you have no right to get indignant about the 'Steeeed' posts because you are plain wrong. I sit in the South Lower and it has been Steeeeed all season. I suppose you think the Manure fans booed Van Nistelroy when they chanted 'Ruuuuuud'?? As for anonymous West Stand fan ('I was in the weststand and he was geeting booed') maybe you had fallen asleep? Or possibly the buffet was coming round :)

Anonymous said...

West Stand Upper Arsenal at home. April 21st. Booing to be clearly heard. But it was coming from further along the left, towards the middle of the West Stand? Difficult to tell really. But certainly booing.

If they had known had poor Jenas was about to be they would have saved it for him.

Anonymous said...

Harry mate, I've always considered this the best of the fans' sites. BUT you have got it wrong on this occasion. I attend most games and just like we have been doing since we signed him and like Fulham did it's STEEEEEEEEED. A few may do otherwise since Sevilla but the majority are showing support not belligerence.

When was the last time hh did 'jump on jols back' exactly then mate?

Anonymous said...

west upper somewhere in the middle????? That would make it guests and directors or maybe Steve McClaren!!!!!

McClaren you b*st*rd!

Reporting from Paxton Road Upper.
No Booing here at all. Just Steeeeeeeeeeed.

It is quite possible that non-regulars going to the lane heard 'Steeeeeeeed' and thought they'd join in, mistakenly beleiving it WAS booing.

Like the Southend cup game, when Park lane lower regulars were re-seated, they started to sing 'who's the pikey in my seat'.
A group of muppets in the North Upper sang along without realising what or why they were singing.

However, I 'was' cheering at the reports that Jenas may be going to Everton for £10 millon.

I've been going to WHL for aver 30 years and I've learned that many Spurs fans like nothing better than a good "boo". Silence when things are ok and booing when not. So my theory is that these "boo" boys heard the steed chant and mistakenly took it as booing and joined in like the chimps that they are. That's why some of you are convinced you heard booing and not "steeeeeed".

Anonymous said...

I boo'ed Malbranque because he's shit.

Anonymous said...

qwerty fuck off to ashburton you slag

Anonymous said...

Im glad he gets booed so MJ gets the message how bad he is! Get him out! Now! He's useless, and why should we pay to watch someone who is even worse than Jason Dozzell! I dont like booing our own players and I never have done, but he has to go!

Anonymous said...

I agree with Harry... some Spurs supporters are numbnuts... I remember when stefan iverson used to get booed and called a c*%t. I used to get so pissed off, I stopped bringing my then 6 year old daughter. If you re-read Harry's article he isn't saying ALL of the supporters were booing... he's having a go at the minority. Most of us tend to get behind the team, but there are always a few twats that think they know everything and like to boo at the first Opportunity..
Great article Harry!!!

Freund was never boo'ed, he was told to shoot.

Just like Steed is never boo'ed, its his name!

Anonymous said...

Freund was never booed? Yeah right... Spurs never boo anyone. It just SOUNDS like booing....

You are so thick.

Why would you even bother coming on here and typing something that fucking stupid?

Anonymous said...

Colour scheme on your site is screwed-up again Harry....can't read any of the great quotes in the right-hand column.

2 things

1 maybe it seemed like steed was being booed but actually it was the arsewipe players getting booed. this would be down to the fact that within a nano second of steed having tha ball an arsewipe player would be in posession.

but seriously, booing our own players is pretty dire, remember how pathetic the england fans looked against andorra. do we really want to be like that.

2 why is everone on here on first name terms with players whose second names they clearly cant spell. dont here you saying aaron, mike, paul etc

Anonymous said...

idiot

Anonymous said...

I hear Spurs will be buying an african left winger called Buoooo Boooou in the summer.

Yid15.

Summerspur said...

how wrong can you be. My source at the immigrants stadium have confifmed mr whinger has beaten us to his much valued signature

emmanuel eboooey, adebooyer and aboo diaboo are reportedly overjoyed at his imminet arrival.

Anonymous said...

No need to boo him, but he is a bit shit though isn't he? He looked a better player when he was at Fulham, as is often the way with Spurs signings.

I'd be up for booing Danny Murphy. He makes Ghali look brilliant.

i was in the west upper yesterday - not a bagel in sight ! a fair atmosphere though for a change. i must admit, when steeeeeed was warming up he was applauded, not booed. i think you may have this post wrong mr hotspur.
