Sevilla vs Tottenham Hotspur: 2100 Seats & Here's Where You'll Be Sitting

Tottenham have it all to do tonight. No two ways about it, Sevilla play a not dissimilar attacking game to us and whilst they are paying close attention to their own domestic business, they go into these quarter finals believing they're well capable of winning the tournament.

News is that Ghaly and Tainio are fit and that's great. Teemu's spent more time with doctors than a Casualty extra, but his recent run in the first squad prior to this most recent sidling was pretty accomplished. I'll be pleased to see him back.

Ghaly frustrates the hell out of me conceding silly free kicks but then redeems himself with the odd goal. On balance, I'm pleased to see him but let's get focused, eh Hossam?

Mido is allegedly available.
I don't know what to say... Is he match fit? Is he the white Heskey?

Would like to see a midfield of Lennon, Zokora, Jenas and Tainio this evening. Malbranque to replace Tainio in the second half if we go behind. I feel that the attacking strength of Berba, Keane and Lennon will be a good combination with the solid trio of Zokora, Jenas and Tainio behind them to win the ball and get the work done.

Oooooops it's all gone wrong....
2-1 aint too bad but the crowd trouble might do us more harm than the crap ref. Didn't see the game had to make do with radio 5. They made it sound like ww3, was iit really that bad?

"the devil keeps cheating and winning in old Seville",
remember the song, hh?
anyway, the pen wasn't a pen BUT there was a pen that wasn't given, so all's well,
but the curse of the armband goes on and Berba's goals are nowhere to be seen,
so perhaps today was the death of UEFA CUP's hopes afterall (or not)
and if Jol has got any brains left he'll rest the most important players and play a second team with Chelsea
because next thursday is all or nothing with the assville cheaters back at the lane.
please remember any other latins are worse than the portuguese as far as cheating and rioting are concerned (italians, spaniards, french)
I guess Seville today was a payback for the way poor Braga was treated (as scum, and they don't deserve it, poor dears).
the other guess is that even if Spurs beat Seville, then Osasuna is another hot dish and stronger than Seville right now.
I believe Spurs will leave the cup to the Spaniards, unless the bloody curse is lifted. some penance quickly, please, it's Easter, a good time to repentance and confession or perhaps we're all getting what we deserve, as predicted.

One of the clearest 'non penalty' penalty decisions I've ever seen. The ref's claim that he gave it for taking the man after the clean tackle is the only case of a ref openly stating that he doesn't know the rules of the game, I can remember. He should be officially questioned about that surely?

They dominated the first half and we dominated the second. Minus the illegitimate goal, it was an away one-all draw performance against the second best team in Spain on current form. An impressive result giving us every reason to believe we can get through to the next round. Our biggest obsticle now is tiredness. chelski tomorrow then seville midweek. Christ! Good luck fellas.

Go on the Spurs!

what about the peaceful fans?
when will the English learn that when they're abroad they have to behave?
when will the English fans start to look to foreign police with respect instead of picking fights with them ?
in other countries they use riot police and that is not tender: when they say go back, you go, or you get beaten and that's it, but the fans when they see there's police they start provoking and attacking. what do you think the police do then? yesterday who broke the chairs in the stadium, the police?
English people always wanted to be different from the rest of Europe, and they're entitled to do that at home, but the time of the priviliges of the British Empire abroad is over, gents. When you go to another country, you have to behave as the natives and remember two simple things: your identification has to be available anytime and Police carry guns and batoons and will use them.
I'm tired of seeing Europe completely fed up with the Hooligans they think all British are. So, will the Spurs punish the bad fans and stop the accusations against the Spanish Police, who was attacked and just did their job, or will the English clubs set up a battle inside Europe that will lead to English clubs being outcasts everywhere?
Think and act, PLEASE !

The good news is that Berbatov is being praised all over Spain as man of the match and a football genius.
Even without scoring...

I recall we talked here about a nickname for Berbatov ( and a song too) and it's ironic: the Spaniards found it and it's in English!!
El Dandy !
It says it all, doesn't it? That mixture between bullfighter and Don Juan we called El Berba or Don Berba, the Spaniards found the right word for elegance and class and excellence: EL DANDY !
I couldn't agree more. It's my nickname for Berbs from now on.

Reading the Spanish press, they all say it was a Holy Thursday miracle; that Spurs were very unlucky; and that things could have been different if Berbatov wasn't so tired in the second half. And they are expecting the worst next Thursday, unless Mourinho deals with Berba once and for all. Catch the drift, Jol? Please send Berba home for a rest this weekend, ok? Don't say I didn't warn ya !

hhuuummmm why is Berba quiet today? shouldn't he be taunting Mourinho? aren't Spurs playing Chelsea tomorrow?
com'on, dear, I can copy/paste the previous boasting...unless you repeat it for the third time.No can do?
How efficient was Seville's defeat !
The one who isn't in silence when he could choose, will be forced to be in silence when he doesn't want to.
Just like : the one who doesn't want when he can, cannot when he wants.
Pathetic all of it.

Bloody shame, agree with El, should have been a dead cert away draw with that performance. Was Robbo ruffled by what was going on behind him? pissed of with the course of events that led to both goals. We're still in it though and would rest Keano and Berba for Chelsea and play Defoe and Mido instead to give the lads a rest. Even give Ghaly and Taarbat a game and rest Lennon and either of Zoks, Jenas or Tainio.I feel back at home on our patch we could really do Sevilla next week. We rarely get anything out of Stamford Bridge anyway. COYS!!!

Appalling referee.

Video replays should definately be used to rule on major incidents. On this evidence its not just an option anymore its a must.

Common sense says it will happen but how long do we have to wait?

Actually Harry you are wrong about Sid, he's a top bloke, and whats wrong with Spain and where he lives, its got to be better than the high rise slum where you live, jealous are you?, I know I am.
Its no wonder so many people slag you off on this site you are such an arsehole and the quicker you get banned the better, its not right that you should use this site to harbour your obsessions against other fans and all the time talk yourself up, we all know what a knob you are.
