Tottenham Hotspur *EXCLUSIVE* Berbatov To Stay Says Agent

It's official.

So up your kilt, Andy Gray...

The Beautiful boy from Bulgaria, striker Dimitar Berbatov will stay at Tottenham Hotspur for the next 18 months at least, his agent has said.

"Dimitar (Berbatov) is extremely happy at Tottenham and he intends to become the fans' favourite," Emil Danchev told Bulgarian radio Darik. Darik, I am reliably informed is the largest independent radio station in Bulgaria.

"I can categorically say that Dimitar will be a Spurs player for the next year and a half."

Happy days, let's see to it he is with us for longer still, eh?

Fingers X'd then and lets hope we dont make the same mistake we did with cashick.

Berbi will be in line for player of the year next season along with Golden boot.

In his first season look at what he has done and how well he is playing.

Think of Shevchenko £30million..... and what he has done... not alot!!!

how can you slate carrick yidos? he was dignified the way he went about his business and he is proving that he was right to move. Im a huge spurs fan but am a football fan too.

Anonymous said...

Sorry that was typed wrong.

That was not a dig at Carrick but a dig at Daniel Levy for selling him.

If someone tables a silly bid in the region of £15-£20m for berbi Daniel Levy wont turn it down.

Daniel Levy is a buisness man.

to b fair carrick was a great sales, just think what we have in berbatov and he was worth half of carrick, but definately worth double carrick now! i still think we need to red rid of steed mal'shite'. he is doing my nut in. put tainio outwide left, lennon on the right and hudds with zok or jenas in the middle. i wana see taarabt on that pitch as well. should have given him 10-15 minutes against braga in my opinion

Anonymous said...

15-20 million is a silly bid but not in the way you are thinking. This guy is the nuts and if old Shevchenko is worth £30 million then he is worth as much. We paid the money for him and took the risk of him not fitting into the English style of play so f*** them. If they want him then they will have to prise him away from us with a figure close to the cost of a new stadium!!!

Anonymous said...

Oh, and agree with the Malbranque thing! Why play Lennon out of position to fit Malbranque in?! We should be playing Lennon on his stronger side and playing Steed out left. I am not convinced by him still but I am fed up seeing Lennon play to half his potential out of position!! AArrgghh!!

Bad boy Harry again! Caught cheating again! I posted this piece of news at 1.18 and that's not mentioned. Are you that short of ideas and info? Let me see if I can help a bit more and find out the meaning of berba?s armband before you do. Don't forget to write!
--------------
18 months, uummm, let me see, either Spurs win something this year or

Berba won't play in Europe and he won't win the league in the next 18 months. The best he can do with are the domestic cups. Sounds stupid to me: either he stays longer to get something or he leaves next June to get it somewhere else. But, as dear lisbonspur says perhaps his head is not working too well these days... et pour cause...

"Become the fan's favorite"?

He already is, Berba is a legend, the most gifted player at the lane since Ginola

Coupla points.

1) If you want to keep a secret. NEVER tell anyone it.

2) If you want a credit, opt for 'other' and enter your name when posting and I will GLADLY credit you. I do not pretend to listen to Bulgarian radio stations. It is YOUR story.

3) Email me in future (address on front page) and WE can make a better story for everyone!

I've got to say he's got a bit on my nerves last night too. My wife was asking me if he was jinxed !?T'is strange though. Hope it's on the mend.
This 18 months' deadline makes no sense at all. I hope he stays longer but I'm somehow convinced he's leaving soon. I don't see him as a fans addict. He's a winner. He wants records and trophies. This love for the fans is all he could hold on to these last months of very hard adaptation to England. But it's bullshit. No good player lives for the love of the fans. He's nice and we appreciate that, but he doesn't fool me. Maybe after footie he'll get into plitics. Seems is on the right track already.

My couple of points, HH:

1.If it was a secret I wouldn't have posted it. I posted it because it was good news and I wanted people to know about it.

2.You don't need a name to credit that "this was brought to you by the anonymous post at 1.18". Sorry of an excuse. If it is my story, whoever I am, you should say it is my story, whoever I am.

But I'm still on the race to solve the mystery of the armband. Talk to you soon...hopefully!

Thanks, mate. You won the prize. Now just explain it to little old me why he was wearing it in a Uefa game in Portugal. It's not a National Side's game (I know he's captain of Bulgaria)and no one knows anything about it in Portugal or in anywhere else except in bulgaria (because he didnt tell the press about it)so what was he doing? Sending a message home? Oh, my Gosh, now it's also the Bulgarian fans. The man is a politician, really. Help!

Anonymous said...

About the armband:
My name is Atanas and Im Bulgarian. Just explaining.
The man is not politician definitely, but he stays on a position of all the people in BG. Nurces are innocent. Just emagine that you work abroad for example in Libia and one night some policemen are taking you in prison and accusing you in well planed AIDS infection of abt 400 Libian children... Torture you to confess that you are AIDS terrorist.

That particulary happend to 6 bulgarian medics and one paletinian doctor...

Our bloody goverment failed in attempting to free them and now trying to organize EU, world community on our side against dictator as Kadafi is.

If you dont know that story which lasts 8 years already, then our politicians are shits, and the people of Bulgaria must stand on the cause.

Im sorry that sounds very political, but the nurces are in the prison and no light at the end of tunnel. Its a sad sad story of world politics....

Anonymous said...

Atanas, dearest, you've got a nice Greek name, I love it:
don't be mad, please.
It happens I know the story, but not many football fans do: just check this blog.
BUT, it's not the cause I'm talking about (it's a terrible injustice indeed). It's the timing, the manner, that is not logical. Believe me no one outside your country received the message that Berbatov was thinking about these women and perhaps would dedicate the goals to them if he scored ( maybe I'm not too wrong there either). Everybody I talked to in the stadium and everywhere else didn't get the message. One guy near me was arguing it was a bandage until we saw it was moving up and down the arm.See?!
What I mean is: why he's he not wearing it in England, if he wants to champion the cause? By only doing this in a European game shows a very specific objective: that it is not the cause but his countrymen and women admiration that drives him to it. Intelligent? Yes. Political? Definitively YES. And there's nothing wrong with it. And above all comercial: he's selling his own product, himself, as a symbol of his country. Not bad but I expected more from him, really.
Well, I'm I right or am I right?
Pray let me know.

atanas said...

Atanas is here.

Hey what happen!!
Seems Ive roused yu a bit...
Ha Ha Ha dont worry Lets talk about football.

If somebody wants to know more about Berbo just ask fans of CSKA Sofia, who were so provident in early years of Berbo on a football stage. They were boo him havent been able to seee the talent and he went out of stadium with tears not only once...

A bunch of idiots...

Anonymous said...

Atanas, dear, believe me: to rouse me you'll need to do much better than that...
Still waiting for your reply.

Are you one of those CSKA idiots who changed his mind? Or what? What's your connection to Berbs? Please let us folks here in HH to know things about the guy, since we love him so much (except me, I'm losing my love for him! ahahah)

atanas said...

Atanas:

Believe me the armband is not a way to advertise his name in Europe. I have same message on my jacket hanged on, also as a sticker on my car and you can see this everywhere/everybody.

But Im really proud of the guy. He definitely is the man who can represent BG (in contrast of Stoichkov who is not Bulgarian, but vulgarian I think), as well as THFc. And the TH fans will soon realize it.

What is interesting is that I become a fanatic THFC fan because of him. Not missing a game or article in newspaper or news. Now I call TH as "ours".

atanas said...

Atanas:

Ha ha ha. I m not a CSKA fan. The best frend of my used to be their doctor, but after Berbo leave.

Im from Varna, perhaps yu know the city. There is a football club called "Cherno more", which means Black sea. That is my club.

Then together with Berbo became Levercusen's fan. Wached the German Bundesliga, and now England.

Anonymous said...

You're running away, dear.Don't, please, it doesn't work with me. Why did he start yesterday? Why didn't he explain it to the press? That's the point.
Please reply.

You don't like Stoichkov, well, and Ballakov? You know how many Bulgarian footballers we had in Portugal? But no one like him. He's so ( I'm going to use the S word, people) SPECIAL. Not Mourinho. For me the Special one is Berbatov.

Anonymous said...

Let's not get hung up over the armband. Things like that help us all keep everything in perspective. We are only talking about football. He was trying to save lives. The most stupid football quote ever is Shankly's "more important than life or death" garbage.

atanas said...

Atanas:

Yesterday against Braga, during the second half, I started wondering whether Berbo is bored with Portugese level or saving him self for Chelsea...

He has a style of playng which yu English use to call LANGUID.. ha ha. And beleive it is DECEITFUL. He used to be blamed of it so many times in BG, Germany and probably in UK. He is a predator.

I personally think he was bored...
We use to have a joke with my wife about this particular behavior of his. We say "he started to swing his sleŠµves again..." if yu could understand bulgarian expresion..

Anonymous said...

Was he bored with Portugal? Poor Lisbon Spur! So much rejected love! And the poor Portuguese who had to put up with all those ugly Bulgarian footballers years ago, now they had the visit of a beautiful one, oh my gosh, he was bored with them ! It is an injustice, it is!

Still, Atanas, you (and your wife, if she wants to) please reply to my question. You're telling me is a predator and his attitude with the armband does look very preditorial to me: he was getting the best of you lot.Sorry. He can't fool me...

Anonymous said...

Well, Arnas, you Bulgarian predators lover, this is what we call check mate (and that is Persian). You were pushed against the corner, so you opt to run away. Fair enough. I win.
Berbatov was victim of the fans adulation and arrogance. He was promoted to god a few days ago and Braga was seen as a shitty side. So he thought he was going to score, more than once, and then he would have the stage for himself. And then he would talk about the armband. Good plan. But it failed. As time went by he lost it(that's why he got the yellow card)but certainly he wasn't bored, because if he was bored all he had to do was what he is paid to do and that would put an end to any boring scene: to score. He couldn't, so it was not a pretty sight.I bet he was feeling impotent(a word used today by Lisbon Spur). I hope he'll learn to be more humble from now on, specially with the Portuguese(and that includes Ronaldo, Mourinho, Braga, and perhaps after Braga, Benfica). They are a very old people and yes they tend to beat those who underestimate them.
As for him being deceitful, that's enough explanation for me for his lack of goals: bad boys don't deserve gifts, they deserve punishment.
One thing is sure: if he was saving himself for Chelsea, that was another mistake. Mourinho is the master of the black arts. Only a pure heart can beat him, not a deceitful one.Only the angel Berbatov could beat him, the devil Berbatov will be eaten by Mourinho in two seconds.
We'll talk about this next Sunday after the game, shall we Arnas?
You can call me Nemesis.

A new Master of Propaganda is in town!

There you have your headlines, Harry, for a good post: read the media. The guy is everywhere. As predicted. And he chose The Sun to deliver the strongest message to the people: the mystery of the armband is solved. As predicted.

Of course, he doesn't lie. He obnly tells half the story and that's fair. The journalist does. The manipulation is obvious. I do keep photos from every match Berbatov is in and, of course, the armband only appeared in Braga. But for the common folks the truth of the tabloid press is enough.

Very good. Mourinho has a strong rival, indeed. It will be my pleasure to watch these two getting each other's throats tomorrow. Only then they'll know who's calling the shots.

It's on the West Ham game too. It means he wears it sometimes and he's entitled to choose when. I agree he should had explained it before, but he's a very very quiet guy and probably his intentions were the best in Braga.

But there's a lesson to be learned from this incident: we should all be less arrogant and more down to earth. It keeps us in perspective, us, the fans, and the players. Tomorrow's game should be faced without fear but with not too much hope, or we'll be depressed if we fail.

I think we have a scheduled meeting. Talk to me. I'm waiting.

Nemesis

Anonymous said...

Well, my Bulgarian HH fellows, he had it coming. As predicted. And still he was lucky. Five more minutes and Mourinho would have won the game.

The Times says: "it would have been hard on Berbatov if all his hard work had been in vain". But it was hard anyway: he was almost there, 3-1, and then...injured, he had to leave knowing he was impotent again (strong word)to help his team-mates to victory. And then he had to watch them being beaten to a shameful draw. It was clear Spurs are not a great team, they were only average mostly.Mourinho was right again.Berba wasn't.

Sad, yes, but even saddier because it was predictable. The Daily Mail calls it "Mourinho's special magic".Nice. But it's real name is the dark side. People tend to forget it's all about energy: black and white, and Mourinho is a master in the negative: he uses other people's darkness to his own advantage, that's why:

rule 1:
you should never taunt him, reply or challenge him, at least in public. He thrives on that.No one uses the media better than him. Berbatov boasted and failed to deliver. He didn't even bother to change the terms in which he addressed the media about the match, as he simply repeated exactly what he had said before the previous match last November. That's arrogant and stupid.Today he'll be quiet (and it's better he be quiet) and that's his greatest defeat. He didn't make good his boast and now it's better not to moan. Mourinho will talk, he always does, and always gets his way. Moaning or grumping.
The key is to ignore him. Nothing else will do.

rule 2:
energy needs energy to circulate. To destroy darkness you have to be white light in extreme.I warned that the devil Berba could never beat Mour and would be swallowed by him. It happened. As predicted. Something negative attracked the energy. It looks for a weak point and strikes. And there you have an injury, with it the most important player out and the tables turned.

You all may think this is mambo jambo and old wives tales.I don't think so. The more we know about science the more we're proving that our brains are interconnected.Mour's head was superior to Berba's head. That's all.

Mourinho withers with positive and bright feelings around him, he cannot deal with them. He needs negativity as the air he breathes. That's how he motivates himself and his players, that's how he weakens his opponents.
I told this before: Berba is the anti Mour, he can represent the bright side of the game and he can beat him. With that, a positive change can start in the world of football.
Mourinho knows it.And he fears it.But today he won.The angel Berba was nowhere to be seen.Because the devil Berba played the cocky fool with the media and God knows what else was on his mind when he was in the pitch. Needless to repeat, it all started in Braga...
So, he got what he deserved and so did Mourinho. That's what Nemesis means. Let's hope Berba learns the lesson once and for all.We want our angel back.

Hi,how're you?

I lived in Germany for a while and Berb is no angel absolutely, believe me. He was very talented already but quite a playboy, so his football was not as good as it could be. He looks angelic but looks are deceiving in his case.
I guess that's what that post from Atanas meant. He can fool you in and off the pitch. But I don't see that as a bad thing. I totally envy the guy. I'm no angel either and I don't have his talent or his built and that body needs nourishment, if you catch my drift.

I hear now he's much more mature and his football is getting better and better. Good for him and for us. But aren't we all sinful? If Mourinho lives off dark matter--that's a good view of him-- I'm sure he found it there too. We're all human. Maybe he should go on a pilgrimage, it's good to clean the soul. Portugal is the right place to do that. I bet Mourinho knows that and does that too.

Cheers!

Still he doesn't get it. He had to speak. After the fans, now he had to praise the Club. Yes, he's certainly looking for a new contract. It's all about money, isn't it? And fame. And glory. As things are, he went for Jol's throat: he proved Jol is lying and he wasn't injured. So, now what? Either Jol gets sacked, because he has just lost his reputation, or if it was him who was pretending to be injured and now claims he was always fit, it's him who's getting the sack. Great! Just another football genius with the IQ of a ant and the mirrors of an elephant.

Hello, HH forum:

There are witnesses who heard Berbatov complaining to Jol during the break. Jol isn't lying. Gosh! it's the armband all over again: he's sending messages home. I don't blame him for wanting to be a role model but ffs it's a global world, we can't go on saying one thing over here that contradicts facts over there. In just a few hours all the world will know. This one can actually have a backlash because it implies the manager was lying. And he wasn't. If it's an ongoing injury, why did he had to talk about it now? Nobody loves to admits is jinxed but to say everything is fine is a very, very stupid thing to do. No hero, no angel and no brains, I'm afraid...

He has got an ongoing contract. To sign a new one may diminish his options if he wants to go.
What is there to negotiate is the team that must be built around him. That's why he chose Spurs: we have the money and the will to do it. Now is the time.

We need another good central defender; king is gone, I'm afraid, we need a good left wing, and some of our young new blood to have two teams and face all the competitions next year. Then, and only then, if things go the right way, Berba should ask for a millionaire extended contract. And rightly so.
But first, we have to get at least one cup this year, otherwise maybe his best move is Real Madrid. As a Spurs fan it's painful to say this, but everyone in this planet knows since last night that Berbatov is much better than Spurs. And again it's not a question of money: you can't buy glory .
As a final remark, his modesty showed again last night when he said the team won, not him, "It doesn't matter who scores". Nice, but not true. As an old brazilian song says. " A striker who doesn't score has got something wrong with him". I'm glad yeterday everything was alright with our king.

hahahahah
I don't know if I'm running out of laughter for this Berb's mess. Maybe I should be crying. Now he thanks the fans support for...I had to read it twice to believe it...THE BLOODY ARMBAND! FFS!!! Says the club website it started at the West Ham game and the club was contacted after it. hahahaha! AS long as it was before Braga, right? There's only one person in the world that cannot be fooled about this and that person is me. It started in the Everton game in England. But before that it really started in Cyprus with the Bulgaria side. When they won the tournament cup the armband was there. And the cup was in the hands of the captain. You know who. It would have been so easy to explain it if it had been done in Everton. But he was distracted.Fair enough, as long as he's attentive to other more important matters.
But I'm glad he stopped the contract move (even if he says it never existed--fair enough, anyway). I promise I'll not discuss it with our dear Atanas. hahahahah The other good thing is that he complains about the press for the first time. There's the backlash for Friday's moves. In the hour of triumph the golden cages are a big trap.Where on earth have I heard that before?
This could be all just a joke if Mourinho wasn't there, waiting in the wings to snatch the damsel away. Yes, it's all about her, remember? Nothing is what it seems, just like in that wonderful film, The Illusionist.
I know a lot, don't I? Told ya!

Jenas says Berby is getting his rewards.
But I'm not getting mine.
And it takes two to tango.

Hey Raving Woman, we're wasting our time with this guy, dear. He's not worth it. We should go back to the special one, the one and only Mourinho, doon't you think? At least he's the original dark lord, not an imitation.
Watching Berbatov cursing, taunting the referee, stupidly getting a yellow card for dissent (and he deserved a second one)and after the game admitting that to win "sometimes we play beautiful football but sometimes we play ugly football" (that's one of Mourinho's most famous sentences), well, girl, what the hell are we doing supporting this guy? Mour is the real deal. All copies are fake. The siege mentality, the ruthlessness is already setting in.
Berba is taking a change for the worse. Not a pretty sight in a pretty man. It's Star Wars all over again. And I'm playing Obi-Wan, I'm afraid. If that's the effect the Prem has on him, that he's turning himself into a new Mour, send him packing, honey. So much for the leap of faith Lisbon Spurs asked for: the man is a contradicion in terms: one day he says he's the artist, the other day the team is the family (Mour again); one day he likes to do good things on and off the pitch, the other day He'll play ugly to win. What a mess, dear. Surely a diamond in the mud gets dirty and loses its worth. And surely us giving pearls to swine it's stupid and wasteful. Time for us to go and for the others to get what they deserve.

Right, Nemesis,
we though we had picked a champion to make a king.
Oh dear.Wrong picking.
What a waste of time and love.
Time to pick someone else.

So much for the ravings of lunatic chicks. Piss off!

Read my lips: Sevilla and Mourinho. Bye-bye cups.
So, who's the lunatic and who's raving ? And who should piss off now?
It's always a pleasure to watch the defeat of those who'd do anything to win!

As predicted: no great team, no great manager, one great player, but one man doesn't make a team.
(and that great player surely belongs in another team, one that can get him the trophies he deserves, as it is more than probable this team will lose to Seville too).
AND...Berba is human afterall ? who would say that after all the bigotry these last weeks. he's human, he's tired AND he's injured and if he doesn't stop right now and rest and have that groin taken care of this could be very bad for his careeer.
and tonight those who love him, truly love the man, who was suffering and struggling to perform, those few, like me, send him all our best wishes and love.
sleep well and get well soon.

BUT on the other hand, after reading what I shouldn't have read in the Club website, maybe the damsel should give Mourinho his reward afterall. There it is: Berbatov's moaning (we should have won, we were better)and flirting with the fans again (now away is home, at least as far as shouting is concerned; must have been because of that he failed in Braga, but I wonder why he failed tonight if he was so willing to boast again, why didn't he win?).It looks like Mourinho he's the one who loves the girl and fought for her and got (or will get soon) what he deserves.

This new momentum of PR by Berbs is bad; maybe it's good for his wallet, now he started to talk to the Club's website again, but time will prove he should be quiet, as he normally used to be, and keep his distance from the halls of fame, fans included. Because time will prove he'll have to leave Spurs very soon (if he wants to be someone in the history of football) and he's making a fool of himself.
As for me, I'm off here. My work is done. Enough lessons were given for a life time. The payment due is not in cash or goods; is that he'll get what he deserves.

Way to go , girl. My choice exactly.

There's only one winner at the end of the game and there's only one special one all the same. Mour, you're god ! You rock me, baby!

Just guessing what Berba will say now. Maybe this will shut him up for a while. Hopefully!

oh, you bet. he's not stopping at all. he goes on and on and on.
the latest: "we have to learn from our mistakes so we don't make the same ones in the future". Hopefully this applies to all aspects of life.Or not?

It's only wishful thinking, I'm afraid.

Hello, thought you'd like to know that Berbatov has to stay for two more years with Spurs: that's Fifa's Protective Period of contracts for under 28: 3 years. To leave before, this year or the next, only if Spurs allow it, of course for a load of cash. Therefore I don't understand why his agent keeps saying he's staying one more year only, unless he really wants to leave right now. Logical, right?

I believe it was Shakespeare who wrote something like this: "there are tides in life that once missed never return". There's a place for a stiker in Manchester United first team: it's a unique opprtunity for Berbatov. If he doesn't take it, they'll buy someone else. And it's his only chance of fighting for the Prem title, for the Cups, for the Champions. Otherwise it'll make no difference to stay one or two years with Spurs, not with this manager and this average team.It will avail him nothing.
So, mate, maybe you're right, maybe this message from his agent means: I want to go, please buy me out. Hope so, or his career will be gone.

First of all, i'm not Atanas, but Atanas is NOT a greek name. It's pretty ignorant ot think, that eerything that end on "s" must be greek. :-P

Berbatov's armband is representing something, that a lto of other people represent, wearing armbands and whatsoever with the same symbol.
It's so typcal nowadays in Bulgaria this whole thing.

Anyway, Berbs is marvelous player and i wish him all the best!!!!
