Spurs Poll Results : 80 % Want Routledge Back

Leaving current speculation about players we don't yet own to one side, might give us 30 seconds to think of those we do...?

Now I'm not posing this as a solution for any particular problem, but would a team that still has Jenas out, Tainio out of form, Davids riddled with paper cuts, sitting in his counting house, counting all his money.... not have a use for a Wayne Routledge?

Would a player who has been in great form for another Premiership (admittedly Fulham) club be such a strange addition?

80% of you that voted, say yes.

Agreed, perhaps he doesn't want to come back after apparently being offered as a makeweight in half a dozen transfer bids... can't do the ego much good eh?

I'd like to see him have at least have a few games for us,after all, he was quite a prospect not so very long ago

yeah i agree, not everyone's cuppa tea, but stick him on the right for a bit, see how he does, lennon on the left, then replace him for steed when he gets tired. i
I mean that's what problem was against tne gypo's. Fatigue/same all season. i think it would be a good option, but i don't know if big mj would notice in time!

Hi. I'm a Fulham fan, and it is expected Routledge will be called back before the end of the window unless the clubs agree a fee and Spurs sell him. Fulham offered 2m, Spurs are said to want 3m. However, he has not been in great form as you say. Routledge clearly possesses immense talent, but all too often he draws sighs of despair from the home supporters: his pass and cross success rate must be very low, and he lacks the confidence to run at and past players despite being willed to do so - just look at his effort for goal against Arsenal in the final seconds earlier in the season.

I wouldn't advise Coleman to spend 3m on him. Routledge has potential, but needs a greater level of belief and many more playing minutes in the Prem.

I never take any heed of those 'player plus cash' bundle stories... I cannot readily recall ANY that have happened. ( que avalanche of examples...)

Sean Wright Phillips for Mido plus £10 mill plus Action Man Helicopter plus Marks & £250 Spencer Vouchers plus autographed copy of You Spin Me Round .... etc etc

md - welcome.

Sorry if I've got him wrong. I've caught him on Sky at least twice and he looked lively enough. Every time he got the ball he burst forward/ caused whoever a headache...

You'd have him though if he was discounted so that says enough!

He has showed the odd moment of class and he does get forward with the ball whenever he can, his recent goal for Fulham was class, needs more time on the pitch though!!

Routledge hovers between being nearly as good as Lennon & almost as bad as ruel fox.

ha ha ruel fox!! that was funny!
but seriously he(routledge) hasn't had a good straight run of games for spurs, i would love to see him recalled and given til the end of the season to prove himself! its gotta be better than floggin him to fulham for 2mil!
