just like with the Arse the FFuuCCC cut our lines. we looked like street kids meeting for the first match.
MJ is satisfied, again. now we are drawing away, not losing anymore. maybe by May we will be winning.
MEDIOCRE is the word, under the sea level, how can we beat the Arse next?
nice pics, anyway...

I think Jol has adopted the attitude that the league performances whist not unimportant, only need to be 'sufficient' or better whilst he can maintain a presence chasing trophies various.

Hence not being obviously depressed at only getting a point from an ever dull Fulham.

The fans are placated with the odd burst of 'we're all going on a European tour'. The board watch the revenue streams swell nicely as all that filthy euro lucre begins to pour in.

Of course, Tottenham have almost had an allergy to silver goods for so long that any trophy would mark the season out as a success. And if come the end of the campaigns Spurs finish say, 10th and cupless...

Jol would have grounds for suggesting that the season had been a long and gruelling one, peppered inconsistency and poor finishing... and the distraction of the trophy matches would have had an inevitable impact on the league performances.

Any buyers?

Went today, (first away game in a while) and can safely say that Craven Cottage is not a great ground. Awful facilities, can't move anywhere, etc. Shocking game, though the way we played I supposed a draw was a fair result.

What was funny, however, was on the way out of the ground, there was an amusing exchange of words between the Spurs fans and the Coppers outside:

POLICEBLOKE (on megaphone): "Could everyone please make your way through the park"

SPURS FAN: "Can't 'ear you!"

POLICEBLOKE (on megaphone): "Turn your earphones down, then!"

SPURS FAN (to the tune of "The Referee's a w****r): "The Copper is a Yiddo..."

Who says Spurs fans aren't up for a laugh...

i don't buy that the cup games are detracting from our league performance. we have the so called best squad in years. no offence to fulham, but with the money we have spent and the players we now boast, these are the games that we should be winning. not beating them, home or away this season, is frankly inexcusable.
after the euphoria of the 4-0 drubbing of the 3rd rate welsh sheep shaggers, we are brought down to earth with an unceremonious bump. quite simply, these performances are not good enough - end of. something's gotta change...be it players, personnel, attitude, tactics, management........

How are your feelings when Arsenals opposition in the recent games, Liverpool and Blackburn, outplayed by the mighty Arsenal, today completely massacre their opposition?

We might play our ladies against your girls, if you want to support your team and your cheating manager, bring your handbags....

right o, db, but none listens.
liked the blue of the outfits today.
don't believe we can beat the scum in the carling.
go for southend in the FA and the Poles in the UEFA.

Just watched MOTD and saw the penalty decision against Dawson. Very harsh. His arms were kept well down, and a leaned into the ball, clearly to try and chest it, but it was just going to fast to complete the movement. Bad Luck. Again.

Hold on chaps. I admit the scum took The Pool apart. And I admit that if we had played them away yesterday and not two bob Fulham we would've been thumped 4-1 and not picked up even a charity point.

But I still believe that we can pull off tremendous exhibition stuff and beat the best. Tottenham football this season has swung erratically from one extreme to the other.

Once again away from home Spurs put in an uninspiring, LEADERLESS performance away from home. Spurs will raise their game against Arse, no question. But looking at the bigger picture, I am more concerned about not being able to beat, or even look like beating, a ordinary Fulham than beating Arsenal in a one-off two legged semi-final. Don't get me wrong, it would be great to win some silverware and beat Arsenals reserves while achieving it, but the true measure of our progress and the only way we are going to break into the so-called 'Top Four' is beating teams like Fulham away from home when we have a clearly superior playing staff. The most frustrating thing about this season has been the inability to dominate two-bob teams away from home.

One thing Jol did right yesterday - Made a couple of substitutions early enough to change the game. Didn't work, mind you. Another thing - Though I accept Jols comments after the game that it is difficult to play against ten men, I think it is fair to expect that we should show a little more intent and look the more likely to score, especially after making two attacking substitutions and especially against a very average Fulham. Player-for-player we are better in every position than Fulham. Jol can live with a point against Fulham, I have to.

Difficult to play against 10 men? By that logic is it even tougher to play against 9 or 8?

We should trample shit teams like Fulham home or away and the players need to pull their collective socks up.

I do agree that Jol gotthe subs on earlier!

What's the odds on tottenham beating arsenal over 2 games harry? from ther tone of many on here they should be very generous.

If you play like that against arsenal they will rip you apart, pass the ball around really well today but no ends product. ffc xxx

let's be Jolly ( pun intended) : we'll beat Arse home. And away?
We have no captain and Jol dared to criticise the lack of leaders after the Toon tragedy ( leaders? plural? that's a sign of the mess we're getting.). yesterday I appreciated Berbs efforts, politely standing by Malbranque with the ref, trying to calm Defoe, etc., but he's not the captain and a goalkeeper as captain is crap, no matter who he might be. we must have a third in command in the pitch when King and Keane are out.
then there's no cement to turn good players into a team. what's wrong in training, MJ?.
I don't get it. "football is more about brains than legs", says Mourinho and he's right. we are confirming that in all our away games. Sort it out Jol and lads. and make it quick.

Spurs turned in another very average performance at Fulham, pretty at times in the first half...thank god we got an equalizer or it would have been a disaster.

what i worry about is we have young talent yes...but where is the guile and spirit? UNLESS we get a positive result at the Lane against the Arse, i cannot see our team having the fight, or our manager having the guile or motivational skills to raise the current team to win at the Emirates. I would love to be postive, but which player in the team has got a big enough pair of bollox to pull off a win there?

Look what Arsenal achieved today...i would love to see Spurs showing the charachter that they showed today...you have to hand it to them. And before you all say gooner in disguise...i am a lifetime Spurs fan without Lillywhite tinted glasses on, and big enough to say well done when someone deserves it, no matter who it is.

We lack a leader and the management & coaching skills to pull off a shock win when the chips are down i am afraid, and until that is recified, top 6 at best is the BEST we can hope for with the current personnel.

I cannot find much to disagree with there, Surrey Yid.

Whilst I'm not a 'Jol Out' merchant, the whole 'not too disappointed' spiel from Jol after the exercise in futility at Craven Cottage was terrifying. If he's saying that to the press what in god's name is he saying to the players? 'Well done'?

Newsflash: Fulham are dreadful. And we supposedly have pretentions to silverware.

I could weep.

Quite right HH. Jol needs to aim a lot higher, or his players will be 'happy' with drawing with Fulham as well. Yes they have a decent home record, but every game is a one off, and if he cannot muster the team to fight, scrap and try to win the game, then i am afraid its hats off to Arsenal for inspiration...and boring boring Tottenham.

Well I suppose if as HH says Fulham are dreadful, that just about puts Spurs in their place along side Fulham then!! Harry you never cease to amaze me....idiot!!
