Spurs In For Miguel Veloso

I know, I know, this isn't a world exclusive as quality Internet source Archibald broke the suggestion we were fishing in these waters last week. But all I'm adding is that I've had two equally decent sources through the door both yesterday and tonight telling me varying stuff inc. that even Levy himself is/was out there this week getting this guy for us.

Go on The Levy!

Here's a half decent showreel.

You mean Veloso you retard! Why don't you just admit that you are a Gooner-no-silverware twat.

Come on you Spurs

Can't quite understand why people come on this site purely with the intention of slagging off the author.

At the end of the day, who wins here? The person who wasted their breath being a cnut or the guy who gets hits for said cnuts visiting his blog?

I for one can't be tossed to trawl other spurs sites, sign up to inept forums purely in the hope I might get a tit-bit of information that I would find on HH's site at some point anyway. At least here you:

a) Don't need to sign up - which although leads to many anonymous pricks with no balls leaving shitty messages (previous post being an exception).

b) Do tend to get intelligent conversation going on instead of the standard found on vitalfootball or spurspies which I believe is only allowed to be used by people under the age of 13.

Cheers HH.

Would love to see veloso at spurs would be the efensive midfielder we need. Being trained at sporting he also has the attractive football ethos drilled into him the same as ronaldo and nani. When I've seen him play he can mix it with best of them but is also handy at making killer passes. Also he is equally adept as a centre back.
One problem is he has been linked with Man U for the last couple of years so even if it itrue we've had a look at him, no point getting your hopes up until he is stood next to juande on the white hart lane turf holding up the lilywhite shirt! COYS

spusrzone i think your the gooner you fucking cunt. why dont you fuck off and stop being bitter over the 5-1, jealouse cunts COYS !!!

Where did you find out we were after Veloso?
Hes such a quality player, would love to have him at the lane.

Don't know much about the bloke but am trusting you know abit more than is seen in the vid clip cos a half decent fee kick, a cross that sneeks in at the far post and a penalty don't constitute 'half decent' for me
Hope I'm wrong and your right

I'll guarantee that Veloso is quality. He has a partnership with there other midfielder Jao Moutinio or however u spell his name, and they are awesum together. Hes a holding midfielder, who can pass, shoot, is skillful, but also strong in the tackle. I saw him play against man utd in this years champions league, and also against Rangers in the uefa cup, and he looks a class act. Only problem I can see with his is that he is coming from a league that plays less physical football, so he could get over ran by the prems battling teams (Bolton, Everton, Blackburn). But that never stopped Ronaldo, Nani or Torres.
Veloso to the lane, please!

yo carlspur, that is shyte video of Veloso the magician. I think the author added the first one he came across. Search Veloso in YT urself. He's fucking brilliant. I watch him live all the time for Sporting and Port and he's really honnestly an amazing player. The whole Port squad is for that matter. I'd take any of their players to Spurs, gladly! Moutinho, Veloso or Lucho Gonzalez, to name a few. I fucking hope this true!!

Anonymous said...

What is your sources for the link with Veloso?

Harry hotspurs the best site i think, generaly the player links arent far fetched, and the banter is quality, except some twats ofcourse.

keep it up HH

God this is horribly addictive - I find myself checking newsnow about ten times a day - I do have faith in the board that with ramos prompting they will go all out to get the players we need to improve - I just hope they get the job done quickly rather than it dragging out till the end of August (another 4 months will kill me!). On a positive note it seems that just about every name we have been associated with is a quality player. Of course our budget/needs wont be sorted till berbatov is resolved - from ramos comments today it seems that he still harbours some hopes he will stay - even though most of us think its 100 per cent he is going.

Unknown said...

On the above note and based on the way we played against Reading I personally don't care if he leaves.

I still love Berba and the way he plays, but his heart hasn't been in it this whole season and it started to affect the way the team play.

Notice the beautiful flowing football and the energy of Keano, Malbranque, Bent and Jenas. Normally one cock up and Berbatov is all over them like a rash but without him the team are just that - a team.

Cheers for all hes done but as long as he goes to a foreign team I'm all for it.

BTW checked some other vids on YouTube and the guy looks pretty mint.

HH gets stick largely as he 'bounces his own door' which is to say he personally fronts every post he makes. That in my book makes him a fella. Interesting that the only boys who post on here on a regular basis are generally speaking intelligent sorts, either season tkt holders or those that understand what we are about as a club. I click on here because it's fun, informative and you never know what bollocks will kick off next. Not for spelling mistakes.

Anonymous said...

Ok, so we know we need a holding midfielder, but one point I haven't really seen discussed is now that we have Modric, does this spell the end for JJ?? I certainly hope so, as he is far too inconsistent for my liking and is far from being th ebox to box player that we thought we bought and what Jol described. Also, Ramos hasn't realy said much about him- yet Keane, Woodsgate & lennon he is happy to discuss.... Thoughts?

Anonymous said...

If Levy is on the case then i'm sure we can get him. It would be just like the Modric deal, wrapped up quick. It seems as if Levy is very serious this summer about getting the right players in. I wonder if we should still sign his fellow countryman Tiago aswell, to add experience to the heart of midfield. With Diarra and Capel also on the wanted list, it would appear that we will have a complete overhaul in midfield. Just what we need.

Anonymous said...

Firstly HH is a great site that doesnt talk shit.

Veloso looks a really tasty player with a great left foot and good passing range. Tough tackler and accomplished shooter. Never really thought about him till now but would complement Modric really well in the middle of the park. We must get either this guy or Gattuso to fill that DM position.

Harry Hotspur said...

nameandaddresssupplied sounds like the sort of bloke I'd be TELLING people I'd had a drink with.

Cheers.

This used to be a good site until Harry turned into Dot Cotton. Harry give us some proper exclusives like Bale. In a way it's a good thing your sources have turned sour. We need to sign tiop class players like Modric without any specualtion to add to the buzz of signing top players. I love it more when Levy and Co surprise us and we go wft.

Harry Hotspur said...

How kind of you to mention Bale...now be a love and get me me Consulates dear...

Anonymous said...

You guys are just sycophants.

Harry Hotspur gets grief because, largely, he spouts drivel about 'this source' and 'this source' when really his stories are sourced from one or two other notable - quality - websites.

Get a grip. Enjoy the site and the banter that following our team provides but don't make his head swell to the size of his belly - unless you go for it wholeheartedly and continue to do so until his skull bursts and his small brain flies across the world wide web.

HH - I think you are up yourself.

But I don't deny that as this is your site it doesn't matter one jot what I think.

How close is this to real?? So many people talk about ifs and buts but what % are we talking baout in terms of chances??? (First timer!!)

I don't mean to be a conspiracy theorist, but a lot of stories have appeared since harry arranged the commission with Littlewoods for the new kit. ;)

Unknown said...

HH, I'm willing to put a £10 bet on my prediction of Arteta coming to WHL over a tip of your choice.

Do you accept?

Harry Hotspur said...

I think this IS good!

Harry Hotspur said...

Christopher I'll have that! Mine is Amelia.

You're not a relative of Arteta are you?

Too late.

Unknown said...

Lol! Too late indeed.

Not a relative, just up for abit of a bet.

I made the stupid mistake of predicting the final score and who would score first for the Carling Cup final but got too pissed to remember to put it down. :(

Won't make that mistake again!

Forum format? No sir. Not I.

I fearv (sic) that you have lost whatever of the plot you initially had.

And presumably your point was that it IS unique that your site is in the most part unmoderated?

For ununiquely is not even a word!

However, I am intrigued by your ability to correctly decipher my name (Johnny Goodboy) from my pseudonym...

My god! Could it be that you are intelligent? Egads!

Intelligent enough, as one has already pointed out, to fluff up the site on a more regular basis now you are a Littlewoods affiliate?

The reason your site is lax is because you want to be a name. You just have to have that little extra attention..

I don't think badly of you - or your desire to have people you'll never meet think you are 'itk'.

As a singer once sung: "If it makes you happy..."

Anonymous said...

biz, get a life? No one here cares about your petty rants, you irrelevant little man..

Richard said...

Yeah - fu*k off Biz. Using words like 'egads!' doesn't make you sound as witty and ironic as you think it does. It makes you sound like a c**t.

To be fair to (non)Vital Spurs - at least their Mums and/or care-in-the-community supervisors know where they are.

onedavemackay said...

Actually, I am beginning to become irritated by all these anti HH types.

Understand this you envious creeps :

Whether Harry's tips are exclusive or not is irrelevant as most of us don't spend our days trawling the web.
This blog is a vehicle for those of us with a love of Spurs and a sense of humour to share information, discuss, disagree and have a laugh.

The only downside is having to read you lot moaning. I notice you rarely recommend other sites. You probably realise that you're recommendation would be an immediate turn off.

Just read a thing with woodgate saying he prefers trophys than say finishing fourth.I think this is refreshing to see.The club obviously needs to finish 4th soon to enable it to grow but if i was a player i know i would prefer to show the grandkids winners medals than tell them how ya finished 4th or 5th.It astonishes me how some of our fans(mainly jol boys) seem to think 5th places are better than the glory of winning a trophy! also was pleased to see ramos's comments when asked regarding berba's situation, he almost makes it seem a good thing and that we are in a win win situation by saying basically if he stays great if he goes we will replace him and we won't spend all summer worrying about it! this geezer knows that its about a Team and its good to see he aint going to be held over a barrel.

Anonymous said...

I think, if Man Yoo are really interested in this guy, it's only proper of us to let them know how sh*t he is - just as we let AC Milan know how great Berba's attitude is and why he'd be value for their millions.

We may be Spurs fans, but we are nothing if not fair.

Meandering my way through these comments, I've noticed two things:(a) An assumption that Modric was brought in to replace Jenas instead of Zokora. - Why? I know I can't be the only person who thinks that Zokora is in over his head at Spurs. If you can answer this without a JJ IS A LAZY CNUT spazzout, then please do.

and (b) the master baiters are still popping in to have totally irrelevant rants.
Again, why? I'm a witty guy. I'm funny and smart. I know this because I look like a bag of spanners and I still get laid. I come to this site because HH kicks off some banter in a likewise fashion. So, if you come on here deriding the non-existent wit, intelligence and humour, then you sir, are an oaf, and you lack credibility by clicking the link of a website you don't wish to see.

onedavemackay said...

Faust.

I think Modric is a creative midfielder so why would he be a replacement for Zokora who (allegedly) is a defensive midfielder?

BTY said...

bang on odm he is a creative mid or even just behind the strikers so wouldn't be swapped for do do do,i think him keane n bent will be the nuts next year

Unknown said...

Modric can play any position in midfield. It doesn't mean he has to play CM.

BTY said...

True chris but i think i'm right in saying he's best in the middle, i hope we don't play him wide left although i have a feeling ramos is going to get the width from the full backs next year n play a narrow diamond in the middle which would mean even on the left he'd be in the middle if ya know what i mean, dont want to see him wide if we payed that much for him play him where he's best and can dictate i reckon!

Anonymous said...

Ive heard the barcodes are in for him ... I hope so, they seem to be easy to beat to signings.

Here's a mad thing: We would have qualified for the UEFA Cup for being good boys this season, even without the Carling pot happily tucked away in the trophy cabinet.

According to the Beeb, England will almost certainly top the UEFA Fair Play rankings and Spurs are top of England's rankings by a distance.

So all that graft in the Carling was for nothing then? Cah! ;-)

In all seriousness though I'm glad Spurs are top. Shows we're more interested in playing football than kicking the other team up in the air. ~ James

Anonymous said...

....and he's (Veloso) left footed! New team next season me thinks.

coys

Anonymous said...

That really is mad. Fair play wins prizes.

"No, no - please, after you. Please go right past me and shoot."

So, after much formal bowing and doffing of caps during matches, an habitually polite but hammered team could be relegated and still play in Europe the following season?

It's like 'It's a Knock-Out'. Cue Stuart Hall in hysterics.

onedavemackay said...

Well, as the cottagers are in the running, a team could get relegated and qualify for Europe this season!

EL said...

So we're signing eto, bentley, crouch, capel, garcia, johnson, mcgready, milito & veloso?

Well if the signing of Modric 'the unmentionable' is anything to go by, we'd better start looking at whoever HASN'T been targeted in the media which is an fast shrinking band of merrys.

My money's on "(not sayin til he's signed)".

That's an el exclusive. guaranteed.

BTY said...

el- its stupid isn't it i've even started reading into things that are probably absolutely nothing, for instance because when commenting on torres Ramos said "If he can get goals in spain he can get goals in England" that to my ear was, we are going to sign a striker from spain prob eto! Totally unfounded i'm begining to think like a red top,god help me ,its going to be a long summer!

Anonymous said...

Top quality performer is Veloso. Would love to see him turn up at the lane alongside Modric in midfield. However, with Man Unt and others admirers from Europe's elite it is an unlikely scenario. If it happens it would be a wonderful coup and ya never know. Think that another attempt at Tiago is more realistic. COYS
