Jenas NOT Off

Here's some good news for Dannyboy!

Quality newspaper The People amongst others sparked rumours that the sporadic supremo that is Jemaine Jenas had put his house on the market. They then 'concluded' this was in conjunction with him moving out of London and moreover out of Tottenham's midfield.

A source every bit as tasty as Mae Ploy's Sweet Chilli tells me he has indeed put his house up for sale, but what largely prompted this were the two burglaries he and his young family suffered at the address.

Jenas is not looking to move out of London, rather he's expressed a desire to remain in the Barnet area. I can't believe I resisted my first choice headline, 'Jenas Going Nowhere'...

Well, that's put paid to my own theory - that he was moving to a house in Tottenham to facilitate a new playing career at Barnet.

He's taken a step up this season under Ramos, although still putting in too many average displays he deserves another season at Spurs.

You could always get away with an average performance when Jol was in charge. It's different now and the players know it. At least we know Jenas has got it, just not week in week out.

Jenas for captain !!!!!! The most improved Spurs player by a country mile. Well done son and well done Ramos for getting the best out of him.

The best Jenas can get is far below what we want or need.

Levy won't let his pool boy leave.

However much improved he is and however much Ramos has developed him, we will never be a top four side whilst he is at the club. Same for about ten others.

I completely understand why there is always such a debate with regards JJ.

I will lay it on the table from the start of this post that I am probably Dannyboy's closest rival when it comes to being JJ's biggest fan.

Yes he frustrates (This is clearly because we all know he can deliver more than he does on occasion)... However for example he is clearly much better than Michael Brown was, but he was a fan favorite because he could not deliver more then he brought to the pitch on match day. So to state that he is sh*te is rubbish.

If you look at pretty much all of our best displays of the season and best results, he has always been in the team and usually been instrumental - Arsenal 5-1 anyone?!?!

The simple fact of the matter is that when he is NOT in the tea, our midfield struggles - under the Jol era, our worst spells coincided with JJ's absence from the team. We have only won twice since our carling cup triumph, that coincides with JJ's recent absence from the team. Coincidence? Maybe.... I think it is a clear fact that you can measure someone's importance to the team by how the team copes in their absence....

What JJ needs is a proven midfielder next to him who will hold and allow him to play his game - that is NOT Zokora. The guy is nothing but an athlete. I like the way he tries his heart out, however he just does not have ability, he cant pass, he cant shoot, he cant play two touch football (proven week in week out by the way he does his little run around in a circle and play the pass that was on in the first place), he is certainly NOT and midfield general!

Rant over......

JJ is Quality

Hi, this is my first post and I just have to have my say about Jenas. I just don't get it, he may be box to box, but he can't control a ball first time, his passing is woeful and gets lost too often. Today's game a great example, against an average 'Boro side Ramos could not trust him enough to control the midfield. He had to bring on Tommy Hudd and push him out on to the wing. I wish he was going, too average.

JJ is not very intelligent and does not read the game well, We can never move into the top anything with him, he is out of his depth too much of the time

JJ looks very good against the likes of Derby, Wigan, Boro. That's his level. He lacks any kind of conviction in his play. For example, he went on a great run on saturday but ultimately ballsed up the one-on-one with Schwarzer. In this respect he's indicative of most of our squad in that he lacks consistency.
On another note, shame about Arsenal, eh?
