Guter Tag Gunter And Fröhliches Weihnachten, Me Old Mucker

Look I know he isn't German so if I promise that'll be an end to it...

Here's the man himself, speaking frankly about the transfer.

Of course, a sincere but belated Merry Christmas to all the exceptional boys (and occasional bird) that make this blog, a full gush will be rightly unleashed on New Years Eve... Names will be named!

Near the start of the interview the interviewer say that we're "looking to offload the guy who's there". Isn't this kid a RB? Does this mean we are actively looking to sell Shibomba (sorry couldn't resist that Pleatism)?

he also plays left back so could be lookin to out Yippee Lee and play Bale left wing with Gunter left back

Seems a good lad.I hope his football is good too.

Thanks Harry. Chris Gunter seems a level head young man. Lets hope he will develop at our club, into the real deal.

If he plays like Bale and I wouldn't miss Chimbonda too much. Of course it's more likely a Stalteri/Assou-Ekotto will be making way instead of him or Lee I'd imagine.

For this season at least I'm convinced he'll play as Bale #2.

Merry Christmas guys (and girls?)!

Merry Xmas totternhamms!!
Thanks for the three points on saturday!!
Joking aside this year had two great derby games.. both really close until the last 10 minutes of each time. Putting aside our mutual hatred if we get games like that every year it will be fantastic..
especially if we always get the 6 points!!!
I know other Gooners look to MU or Liverpool as the big game but playing and beating you guys will always be THE game of the year to me!!
Thgis is a good site as well. Kudos to HH. While you often get the mindless yid who lives in fantasy land many who post here are reasonable and intelligent. I think its too late for Europe for you this year but Ramos will get you into UEFA next year Im certain and maybe .. maybe.. in 2-3 years he will develop a team who can challenge the big 4.

Just seen the team news for tomorrow and it's a mixed bag.

King may finally return but is anyone else slightly worried about Dawson's health?

And man, I forgot how anti-climatic Christmas is. I need my football fix!

I never climax at Christmas. It's traditional. Still sore about losing the derby last Saturday. Even lashings of Christmas vino can help me forgive Keano.

And a merry christmas to you too H. Must say that since I found this site it's become a daily fix for me and generally the standard of comment is intelligent and very amusing. Particularly liked "Tottenham the Musical".

I still pine for jolsgonemental and hope that vinny learns to summarise.

You're doing a brill job Harry keep it up.

COYS

Just think, this time next year we might have a midfielder who can tackle, a left sided midfielder and an experienced central defender who's not injured !

No offence to any religious nutters out there but a very happy solstice to all and sundry(it was on my birthday this year, double whammy).

Here's to huge improvements for the second half of the season team-wise and here's to Sir Harry continuing to produce a Spurs blog so good that even goons can't resist joining in due to their own homes, blogs and stadium being so empty and devoid of any sort of soul, spirit or humour.

The best WILL get better in 2008.

All the best.

Go on the Spurs!

Bleeding Norah, if the Daily Mail is to be believed (and that's more iffy than Ramon Vega at the back), His Majesty Ledley is gonna start this afternoon. [I know HH, I'll believe it only when it actually happens]. Weird thing is, if they've got the starting line-up right, there are no defenders on the bench. Looks like goals galore at the Lane this afternoon. And I'm hacked off 'cos I can never make the Boxing/St Stephen's Day game. It ain't on the telly either - unless someone knows of a link to one of those oddball online stations.
Anyway, a belated happy Hannukah, Xmas, Winter Soltice to one and all. Even our nobby-no-friends Gooner infiltrators, Wrighty7 and Neaman. Oh, except for the fuckwit who called Keane a 'cancer'. With supporters like that who needs enemas. Or are you Nemesis in disguise?
