Tottenham Hotspur: Boateng Showreels

At last some footage of a ball being kicked.

The Mirror is calling him 'tough tackling' and BMJ 'an attacking midfielder, very strong...' Good.

We need to lose the 'willowyness' without turning into Bolton... A degree of toughness has been required and all the new boys have from what limited views I've had so far have that edge about them.

I was worried Bale was going to be on a physical par with Adrian Mole and I am pleased to say that was unfounded...

Bent is textbook centre-forward stuff and Kaboul would give Lord Greystoke a run for his money.

£39 million in and it's all good. Word on the street is SWP is dead in the water as Chelsea want 'jam on it' in relation to money. Perhaps Jose putting us up as a Top Five side has cost us as much as it flattered. Oh well, what's not for you passes you by...

Kieron Dyer. An expensive waste of space. With a bit of luck West Ham will sign him.

as I said on the shelf, who needs to be more wary of his place - Jenas or Zokora? and where does it leave Thudd? He has obviously signed as Ghaly left......

he certainly seems energetic and likes a shot; did I see him use his left foot as well ?!

Roll on the monkey hangers.

Looks quality in the second clip. Got a trick or two but looks strong, knows when to play a pass and can shoot with both feet.

All we need now is a left winger and then it will be the best transfer window that I can remember

I'm loving all our new signings, so much strength and depth in our squad now......It's frightening!!! Kaboul looked mustard against pirates and he's freekick was sublime, ok made a few mistakes...But I think the old kiddie was just treating it like a friendly. Bale is outstanding!!! Bent!!! enough said....This prince can only be good for our team, I was getting a little annoyed last season with the hot and cold Jenas...... I for one love him, but maybe he'll think twice about fluffing so many passes with the prince warming the bench!!! Cant wait for next season, maybe need a leftie but loving taarabt at the mo and hopefully that little rose can prove his worth early on like lennon. But not to fussed as we obviously now are looking more and more like a force to be reckoned with COYS COYS COYS......Well done HH, you've done it again

Looks like we are going to fun watching this one play.

That didn't look like a hopeful punt from halfway, that looked like at intentional shot. Just imagine him doing that at our near neighbours in the last minute to grab us a win.

Looks like Jenas will have some proper competition with this lad

Another great signing! Wot no Rasiak, long live Comolli, Frank who? Makes you wonder why Wenger's 'genius' signings have dried up! Not..

He looks ok this fella and we are signing in all the right places. Well, nearly! We are still a lop-sided team and that needs sorting.

Good work as usual HH

awesome buy. I wanted this kid more than SWP or Kallstrom ass I think he will be amazing. Both footed as well, to have the confidence to shoot with a weaker foot from the half way line with that technique is something very very good for a 20 year old.

More than happy on this one!

Great signing. Jenas better buck his ideas up or this Prince kid is gonna tear up the League. I can imagine him threading balls to Berbatov and Keane and slamming in some goals himself.

I think kallstrom would've been a sure success, but i guess those reports were bullshit anyway. in any case, the prince looks good.

if anything he's an upgrade on ghaly. let's not forget that he's already had two knee operations, though.

Great signing, gives us much more strength in depth and now we can see waht Jol is doing, having two players for every position, with Zakora, Jenas, Hudd and now Boateng we have a great centre midfield. Got a feeling Jol is going to hang on to Routledge as cover for lennon on the right so that just means one more in left midfield and the job is done.

Harry you really are the man , i sometimes dont know how i would keep up with my spurs fix without you , so cheers again .Anyway the Boateng looks great but im a little worried about the two knee ops already at twenty ,anyone shed some light.Any news on us getting a left midfield player? although im loving Adel Taarbt

good signings this window. very impressive dealings. no fucking about.

but then again i remember being told stalteri was just what we needed to add some steel and experience for our european campaigns.

Harry, can you arrange an interview with roger boli. and then glass the fucker.

If You Tube did not exist, you'd be fucked!

Are you going to fill your blog with pointless videos of players we have or might sign?

Do something useful and write about something new and interesting. If you can't think of anything, close your site down.

and another thing...

censoring posts, what is it fat boy? can't take critcism because the way you write and defend makes it pretty obvious you are insecure.

Anyway, since you have enough time on your hands to be able to censor posts....

Censor this one you fat cunt! :)

Thank you for your remarkable contribution.

The censorship is all about control - just like the law protects us from criminals, my comment moderation protects HH from DULLNESS....

I've made an exception and put yours up just to prove the point...

I've no idea how good the Prince will be at this level, nor how well his tweaked knees will put up with the premiership(hopefully better than Kings). I also have no idea whether Hud will develop into the all round player we want him to, or whether Zokora will come up a notch which I think he has to if he's to qualify the earlier hype, or whether Jenas will suddenly become the consistant star midfielder Jol seems to think he is, or whether Lennon will start to finish his runs as well as he starts them on a consistant basis, or whether Taarabt turns out at just 18 to be the new Zidane in his first full season. In short, this is a midfield full of potential, not the finished article which the defence & frontline is. I was hoping to go into this season with a midfield containing a proven left winger and playmaker to fully balance the squad but now we have to wait and see again. I hope like all of us that they come up to scratch but for me the jury's out and some heavyweight expectancy appears to be hanging on the shoulders of a couple of very young lads in Tar-wrapped & Boating.

I'm hopeful but remain slightly unconvinced by Zok & Hud not to mention Jenas.

And we still don't have a fcuking left winger!

My prediction is anywhere between 3rd & 6th depending on how well our midfield pull together and how consistant arse, pool & the also-rans are.

One thing's for sure; it's gonna be interesting.

Go on the Spurs!

El,Thats an accurate summary of what 99% of Spurs supporters must be concerned about.

They're not negative concerns, but only healthy observations of a team who has made great progression and now looking to take that progressive step further into champions league territory.

If we had to rate the team in 3 areas - strikers, defence and midfield my rating would be as following.

Strikers = 9.5 out of 10.
Nearly perfect, and only possibly matched by ManUtd, Chelsk and Liverpool, although even Liverpool may be out of this one compared to us (Torres could easily flop). Hell it's possible our fantastic 4 could even out perform Chelsk and Utd this season. Haven't been so excited since the signing of Klinsmaan.

Defence - 8 out of 10.
Would become a 9.5 rating if we signed Curtis Davies as back up due to Ledley's injuries and a more established left back to give Bale competition and backup, even allow him to push up and try that left midfield position we are missing. Leighton Baines would be perfect, but will not happen or our name is Chelski!

Midfield - 7.5, great competition for places and buckets of potential, but a little inexperience, inconsistency and lack of leadership brings this department down a touch. A few question marks on how the midfield will perform as a unit, and if we're honest, also lacked that little bit of steel and creativity last year. lets hope Boateng is the missing ingredient, but remember it's his first season so no guarantees there. Zokora, Jenas and Hudds all need to fulfill their potential, ESPECIALLY IN THE BIG GAMES,(ie against any of last years top 4 or against Europes big teams) and I don't just mean last minute goals against Arsenal!...they all need to dominate and compete for 94 minutes and more.As much as I love Tainio, may not cut the mustard as a top 4 midfielder, but great as a squad player backup for injuries and minor cup games. Murphy, forgedaboudit!

Overall a predicted 3rd to 6th place team finish is a fair call. However 6th place and no trophies will not be good enough imo. Has to be champions league qualification or at the least 5th or 6th place and a trophy. After all this pre-season excitement of our new signings, I for one will be a tad dissapointed if we don't finally make that champions league spot, the Arse are there for the taking...COYS YOU CAN DO IT!

Anonymous said...

Shite, I forgot about Taarabt, should play some great games and have us licking our lips even more for the season after. Too early to place champions league qualification on his young shoulders yet though.

Anonymous said...

Great post lads and really agree across the board... let's hope that Taarabt & Co (the new breed) use this season well, to develop and mature.

Consistent.........consistent..???

It still looks wrong! Someone jab me in the head with a biro!

Harry, could you proof read during the comment moderation?

We have done exactly what I wanted this summer in terms of adding strength to the squad in that we signed some young flyers with a lot of flair. Every player has to earn his place now. We still have a few players on the books that we need to shed (no names need mentioning really) and we still need a left winger.

I know everyone has said it, but this left-sided player needs to show up pretty soon. I agree with the post earlier saying we are still lop-sided.
taarabt looks quality so far. Reckon price will be a bit of a slower starter but will go on to do big things.

They cant touch big HH!

p.s. I absolutely fcukin hate arsenal!!!!!! ...COYS - lets have this season and shut em up!!!
