Tottenham Hotspur vs Paddy Power

The pre~season fixture list is beginning to take shape and here's my pick of the pops... get yourself over to Dublin for the friendly announced yesterday against UEFA qualified St Pats.

A quick butchers at Ryan Air tells me that a jaunt over the water comes in at a measly £25 including taxes! The same spin travelling with the far nicer folk at Aer Lingus runs at £100... I based this upon you leaving London Thursday lunchtime and coming home Saturday lunchtime.

Dublin is an old stomping ground of the boy Hotspur and I cannot recommend seizing the opportunity to visit this fab capital city highly enough. Email me if you would like any pointers on hotels/ bars/ directions etc...

The game itself should be good fare. Players touted as appearing at this stage include Robbie Keane, Berbatov as well as Defoe and Jenas...

The standard of footy from St Pat's is very watchable stuff and probably equatable on a good day to a better Championship side. The Irish lads currently sit 2nd in Eircom League Premier Division with 23 goals in 15 games. So it shouldn't be dull.

Tickets go on sale today. So get stuck in!

As much as I'd love to go, distance is too greater an issue for me unfortunately! Perhaps a match report if you're going, then Harry?

It's a Spurs thing!

Sorry, mates,I dont get it! We dont need this guy and we splashing 17 million!!!Since when is Bent better than Defoe? We don't have place for four top strikers. This is a lot of bull and very fishy.Where's the left wing we need?
Mr. Levy, do explain yourself!

Bent rumours surfaced before HH revealed his ''exclusive''.

It's finally official!

now we just need another left winger (or left back if Bale moves forward) and the premiership's ours for the taking! luvvely jubbely.

7.42 you are right, however when I claim responsiblity FOR a signing you may wish to chastise. All I ever do is state my opinion.

It was my opinion that he would sign and he did.

U havin a laff ?

crowing rights are all yours mr hotspur!

to the numpties who say we don't need 4 strikers; every quality team needs 4 strikers to rotate. we now have probably the best combination in the premiership. look at berbatov at the tail end of last season; if bent was there he would have played to give him a rest. as it was all jol could call on was donkey mido.
with money burning holes in pockets, i feel he is just the sort of signing we need to take us to the next level, as long as we sign that elusive left winger as well.

so there.

Can anyone recommend a hotel and does anyone know how far their ground is from the city centre?
Cheers!
