what have they done ! we look like a cheap n cheerful blackburn. devastating

Anonymous said...

i dont no it looks alright to me

Anonymous said...

I think the kit looks absolutely fantastic! Much better than a repeat of this seasons. Will probably be for just the one season anyway

Anonymous said...

Is this the pic that was on the Daily Mail site Harry?

Looks like a f**king car crash.

EEK is about right.

Anonymous said...

i'm going to be sick.....
the 'chelsea blue' third strip was bad enough last season, let alone a blackburn lookalike

Anonymous said...

What a great shirt, its guna sell like hot cakes! I'll be purchasing it

Anonymous said...

Are you Blackburn in disguise?

Anonymous said...

This has to be the anniversary shirt. The colour scheme matches the earliest shirts (if you know your tottenham history) and under the logo it says 125 years. Its released as part of the anniversary celebrations. I dont think its the home or away strip. Its a one of...125 years. Don't panic.... Anyway I think it looks good.

Anonymous said...

If you look at
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/
front page, this is the same kit as 1885. Could it be all kits are going to be produced? Then this will not actual be the first team kit.

After all it is a celebration of 125 years!!

Anonymous said...

I just hate baby blue in general!!!

Anonymous said...

That kits is fine - once people get used to a change (and I gurantee it will only be one season!) you'll find most will quite like it....

Anonymous said...

I HATE it so much I'd be willing to march to WHL to protest. It's derivative, it has no class, its Blackburn, FFS!!

Anonymous said...

Spurs just thought it was a brilliant way to show off both the home and away kit in one shot. mark my words thats all it is, its not a 2tone kit *sigh*

Anonymous said...

It's the updated version of the 1885 shirt (yes, yes, I know...I'm a geek!) and could probably be the fourth shirt for the season. As far as I'm aware, there will be a home, away and third shirt as well as this one...

Money...old rope...anyone??

Anonymous said...

Another marketing disaster.

It looks gay and I wouldn't wear one.

Anonymous said...

this has got to be a wind up- or at very least a third choice strip that will barely be used surely???

Anonymous said...

this is a wind up yea?

Anonymous said...

Nooooooooooooooooo way!!!

Anonymous said...

Harry you need to get a proper website old boy, this is one one of the best Spurs sites but I think you're outgrowing the format...

Good luck!

Anonymous said...

This is the worst so far and if this is the best PUMA can come up with then they need shooting!!! If you check your history 1882 + 125 years is all NAVY BLUE....please let this not be our first choice shirt its a disaster....!!!!

Anonymous said...

WTF is wrong with a good, clean, fresh WHITE shirt?? Why try to improve perfection? I refuse to buy this.

Anonymous said...

Blame Steve Mason for this crapp..

Anonymous said...

I like it

http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Tottenham_Hotspur/Tottenham_Hotspur.htm

Chk the above link i would guess the all blue (1882-84 season) will be the home kit and this one the away (1884-86 season) If u know ur history

Anonymous said...

Who's he?

Anonymous said...

AllWhite

The Daily Mail have already removed the picture from their site:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/sport/football.html?in_article_id=453620&in_page_id=1779&ito=newsnow

Anonymous said...

So the kit shown dates back to the shirt that Tottenham wore during the period 1884-1886.

How does that make it any way nice to wera with jeans in 2007/8???

It's a f**k up.

Anonymous said...

Ohh... White and blue?? This is ugly. Like blackburn kit..

Anonymous said...

How original.
Half a home jersey and half an away jersey and we have a new ugly jersey..!
I hope this is a bad rumor..!

johntspurs said...

Robbie looks a numpty in that kit. I don't want to look like one too!!

Anonymous said...

Dont forget that the sportswear companies deliberatley leak fake designs so the fakers in the Chinese sweatshops dont get dodgy copies out first.
I saw about 3 different versions of last years shirt, with different sponsors on too! Umbro, Puma, Adidas and Nike all do it.

Anonymous said...

...and the change strip will be blue on the left and white on the right #-)

Anonymous said...

it must be just a tease off the home and away, a preview of both. It must be.

Anyone interested in two UEFA Cup final tickets. Cost £70 each, i'll sell them for £120?

Anonymous said...

I don't know what everyone is getting in a flap about! This not going to be used to quote the spurs website

"we will also be launching a special merchandise collection that includes a commemorative 125th anniversary kit."

I presume this blackburn esque kit will commemorative one.

The home shirt is plain white as leaked last week, which I think is perfect (would be better without the mansion logo)

Anonymous said...

Oh dear, the brown end of season stains are gonna show up a treat!

Anonymous said...

whats wrong with it, its the players we have filling it i'm worried about, ye r all like a pack of lady's at a fashion show, anyone know any site that has a list of all free transfers in europe, it would be interesting to c if spurs could pick up any players from it.

Anonymous said...

it's not that bad. wait to see what the other kits are like before you judge

Anonymous said...

I reckon the fact it got pulled from the Mail website means its a fake, to prevent an outcry from fans. The white one that was on there the other day didn't get pulled.

Anonymous said...

for the last time ladies.....it is the comemorative anniversary shirt. It is NOT our playing strip. Drop it or people will take the mickey out of us and not this missunderstood photo.....sheeeesh.

Anonymous said...

They will shoe several kit on the 12th May, each one will look like one of the old ones on the home page splash screen (go and have a look) and we'll vote for the seasons kits. What do you reckon to that?

Anonymous said...

show!

Anonymous said...

The club said that the release date or first viewing was the 12th of this month. This all seems a bit strange - like they want to confuse the fans and then come out with an amazing shirt. First it is 'leaked' on the official site (all white one) and now this image! If they are both official - why are they different? The only thing i can think of is that ; the all white one is the playing strip and the white and blue one is the commemerative shirt that we will not see on the pitch. Perhaps on the 12th, we will see both these shirts or neither!

Anonymous said...

the one selling the tics, i'm interested. mail me at spursian@gmail.com

Anonymous said...

i fink its well nice.. i love the blue n its a nice colar aswell.. hope its tru.

Anonymous said...

CyprusYid says...So if the blue and white reflect the home and away, is the back brown? For the 3rd choice colours???
You lot better decide if you love it or loathe it. They go on sale on Saturday, will be gone by lunchtime! I've got to get someone to buy me one. whichever is the least popular! Gonna be a classic!

Anonymous said...

To further celebrate this important milestone in our history, we will also be launching a special merchandise collection that includes a commemorative 125th anniversary kit.

This is pasted from the spurs official site so dont panic its not the kit we will wear, just a way of making more money.

Unknown said...

In my opinion, why would they make a commemorative shirt that has the kit sponsor on?

if the kit isn't supposed to be played in and is purely commemorative, why have mansion on the front.

i recon this will be something to do with a european kit. and i love it.

Anonymous said...

You spurs fans wish you was blackburn Rovers. But you can never be. There is only 1 blue n white halves and dats the mighty Rovers. Why copy us, I know you all wanna be like blackburn but you can never be. We are the BEST!!!!

Anonymous said...

wot a crock of shite, don't like it at all

Anonymous said...

Well of course it was Blackburn Rovers that they copied. Let's not forget that they were a good team back then. Let's hope we can show them who's boss tomorrow, though ;-)

Anonymous said...

nickers blue

dipers white

shit brown inside it

what a pansy!!!

Anonymous said...

Took one look and immediately thought of Blackburn...scrolled down and seems almost everyone else feels the same.

COME ON YOU IRONS

Anonymous said...

i think it may be a advert for next seasons home and away kit. what do you think about that.

Anonymous said...

Anthony Murray - maybe spurs getting a new kit will be new ambitions for us next season a with us looking more professional in this new look design, maybe we can sign a few good players in defense, midfield and attack

Anonymous said...

I've just blown the picture up on my Mac 23in screen and you can see the blue is a poor overlay. Another hoax??

Soonago said...

This has got be a marketing novelty shirt, like the Spurs/England shirt....hasn't it?
What's wrong with white, made from a material not like hardboard and flattering for a big bellied man to wear? Or is that just a dream?

Anonymous said...

minging

Anonymous said...

Laaaaaaaaaaaazio!

Anonymous said...

I bet the away shirt is half blue on the left and half white on the right.

Anonymous said...

If anyone is interested, I have 2 UEFA cup final tickets that I will sell for face value. Cheers. Robin.Simcox@sas.ac.uk

Spurs play in white shirts, navy shorts period ! Whoever designed it at Puma is a Gooner

Anonymous said...

Not real. Why would you photograph Robbie Keane in front of a backdrop like that?
P-H-O-T-O-S-H-O-P?
Any of you heard of it?

Anonymous said...

all those who say you don't like it, i bet you all still go out and get it! numpties, the lot of you.
it's a fake.

Anonymous said...

Blackburn shirt been in the sun too long.. :@(

Anonymous said...

At the end of the day it's the players and the way they perform that count, not the kit so much even if it is the real version. Personally like a more classic look, not half this and half that stuff.

Summerspur said...

Nothing to do with kit, but did anyone hear alan brazil on talk sport this morning?
He claims to know that white hart lane is to be completely rebuilt but turned round 180 degrees, under ground parking and a new burger stall. ok, last bit is pure speculation.
while this is being done we are to play at wembley for 2 years.

can anyone give any credence to this or has wee jock red faced Mcplop over done it on the vodka and irn bru.

Anonymous said...

Gavaldinho says... It is a possibility that the stadium will be knocked down, turned around and re-built. But i think the Wembeley bit is true though, regardless of what happens while re-development takes place at the Lane!

Anonymous said...

is this a joke! i fucking hope so, we play in white not some mixed up joker style kit, seriously worried!!!!

Anonymous said...

summerspur

the ground will be turned round 90degrees, not 180 - think about it !!! I believe the plan is to completely demolish the exising stadium, relocate for 2 years somewhere and rebuild. the goals will be on the high road end and where the shelf is now. I believe it is all dependent on the victoria line being extended to northumberland park (?), which would make sense as the depot is there already, so it's not like a complete new station needs to be built. apparentley the land where the nightclub is has now been purchased, so spurs own the whole development site.

the burger stall will be outside the away end corner ;-)

COYS

Summerspur said...

ooops, yes 90, or we will have the park lane in the paxton and paxton in the park lane and that will never do.

is it true that berbatov is to run the new stall. if it runs out of burgers it will be burgersoff.

Anonymous said...

its not the real shirt. someone tell me why robbie would be standing in a bedroom wearing it. even if it was an advertisment. i dont think the club is idiotic enough to let it leak... especially with all the fuss being made over it being the 125 years strip

Anonymous said...

i agree with billy. genuine new shirt? bollocks. it' probs the home and away kit combined by some photoshop geek

Anonymous said...

As I said earlier: PHOTOSHOP
You'd think you lot had never seen a doctored picture before.
Bet you all read the Star or the Sport and think those Artists Impressions are real.

Be patient boys and girls....
The truth will out...

Anonymous said...

nope. far too good for photoshop. thats the real thing, guarantee it.

Anonymous said...

I've gone all giddy!

A new kit which is half and half, a new stadium turned 90 degrees, a new burger menu, no abusive rebuttals on this site...............

Anonymous said...

Is this not the worst kit ever? Even that purple Pony kit wasn't this bad?

Anonymous said...

anyone been over to official site yet and looked on the loading page...this looks remarkably like the furthest kit to the right. I kind of like it as a one off to celebrate 125 years.

Anonymous said...

Ahhh and people say we Spurs fans are whingers & fickle... The cub have said all along that there will be a 125th anniversary shirt, a one-off. If you look at the history of the old kits then this reflects one of the earliest shirts.

As for the plum that said history was irrelevant because it won't suit his jeans, all I can say is - who's going to remember you in 125 years time???

That's right... no-one.

Mesmo

Anonymous said...

'As for the plum that said history was irrelevant because it won't suit his jeans....'

I think he meant to type 'it won't suit jenas.......' a cryptic way of saying JJ's time is up or am I reading too much between the lines.

Harry; you now have 2 shirts on this site touted as next year's kit. Along with all the transfer speculation, it is becoming increasingly more stressful to keep track of developments. I may have to cultivate some other interests besides gorging on red herrings.

Sid said...

I like it, really cannot see a problem with it especially if it is based on a previous Tottenham shirt.

Anonymous said...

Is it a coincidence or subtle psychological warfare that our 2 remaining games are against Rovers and City and the new kit design is a mixture of their 2 kits?

Anonymous said...

Harry says...

not a relative dijo...

Harry you need to get a proper website old boy, this is one one of the best Spurs sites but I think you're outgrowing the format...

Good luck!

Talking yourself up again Harry?

Anonymous said...

Anyone recognise the players on the opening page of official web site?

I got Hoddle, Perryman and Blanchflower......

Anonymous said...

you didnt recognise jimmy greaves or bill brown? call yourself a spurs supporter ?! wow (not sure why brown is wearing a 1885 shirt when he played in the 60's?)

Anonymous said...

That's meant to be Greaves!!! Did he have a tash and highlights in the early sixties??

Anonymous said...

so who is the final player?

Anonymous said...

is the last bloke Dennis Weaver from the TV show McLeod?

Anonymous said...

5.45am - I actually made that comment on good faith, based upon the volumes of traffic old Harry has openly displayed on his site meters.

10,000 hits in one day I would suggest is hardly run of the mill for a web blog.

Anonymous said...

I reckon it's Harry Hotspur. What a cock.

Anonymous said...

I still say that the classiest kit was the long shorted one from 1991 FA Cup Final.

I am all for ground redevelopment but how long will it take to make a 90 degree turn and where to go in the meantime?

Agree with Dannyboy (yes rare I know) on Bill Brown and as he was a goalie he would not have worn an outfield shirt anyway so poor research all round.

I have not got a clue on the Dennis Weaver look a like.

You're ill informed as well as offensive.

What a shame you're unable to get behind a Spurs site.

Anonymous said...

"McCloud, in my office now!"

Anonymous said...

syd

greaves is the 1963 one not 1882 ! there's a spurs song that goes 'and if you know your history......' ever heard it ?!

saying that, i aint got a clue who the 1882 geezer is !! obviously someone from our formation year, very famous, on the tip of my tongue......

COYS

Anonymous said...

look at the official site. I reckon the kit is the ' special commemorative 125th anniversary kit.' So there.

Interesting to see that this seasons kit is the most popular selling kit ever.

Anonymous said...

It is the same colour and design that Cambridge University have worn over the years on and off.

EL said...

A spokesperson for Wembley has stated that Spurs could not play there in the near future as they wouldn't get the required planning permission.

Whatever that means?

Maybe planning permits are given according to 'use' as well as structure?

Anonymous said...

Errr...you are all the very worst. If you think this will be our home kit then you are very dumb...seriously...this is probably 1 of 4 kits (source=daniel levy) which we will use at some stage during the 2008 season. Well done to who ever realised this was inspired by the 1885 kit, as this kit is shown on the spurs site. I'm glad you can read. COYS!

Anonymous said...

Dannyboy

Does the song go 'and if you know your history that stops in 1963?'

Anonymous said...

is this not just a way of showing 2 kits at once? would be a drastic change to incorporate lilly white and sky blue the in this way. The shirt in either of the colours would look good.

Anonymous said...

archibaldsteve: Look forward to seeing what the new kits are now that I'm focused on them even more than my
normally usual irrational but justifiable level of interest. The news (rumours) about the 90 degree pitch swing and underground parking are encouraging if true. I do have one big worry about developing WHL(although want to stay put. If a new construction is to be on site, will it be able to be added to bit by bit similarly to Old Trafford? My concern is the rumours is that the new WHL will hold just over 50,000. It seems like a lot of wasted finance and also hassle of temporary relocation for (?)2 seasons to only be able to have just under 14000, more supporters in the ground but more importantly there is the idea that in 2-3 years time we are back to square one in that we will still be behind capacity of MUFC,AFC, NUFC and others. This is important in that more capacity means much more revenue with MANU matchday receipts apparentl tipping £3,000000.00 per home game. Also the effect on teams visiting our ground would be surely in our favour with considerably more of our many fans actually in the ground. I want a bigger stadium
and preferrably at WHL but I wouldn't want us to stay at the cost of the club being able to expand the capacity at their will and in line with the size of our massive fan base. If we want to become for the first time in my life, a League(including old 1st Div. & Premiership)winning club we have to compete in all areas and the stadium is one that the board should concentrate on because they can so easily tap into our biggest resource for the beenefit of everyone who loves the club, naely its huge support domestically and world wide as we get visitors from all over.

Anonymous said...

If that pic above is fake, then someone really knows their Photoshop to fake all the rest too.

Take a look at Berbatov, Dawson and King in the other strips.

Anonymous said...

i can see wt tehy mean by looking at the classic shirts n taking it from der, bt to be honest, were not in the past anymore, i fink if that strip was in plain white, it wd look bootifull.
