That's him finished, if Jol has any sense. Dreadful distribution, gave the ball away nearly every touch.....too many flicks and fancy stuff when we dont need it.
He has totally alienated himself with the act of petulance - especially with the fans - I hope the management agreed. Well done Spurs, good point tonight.
Its just a young lad showing his frustration, its not easy getting subbed after coming on as sub, Im sure he regrets it already and im sure most level-headed people will have calmed down in a few days
The Bloke is a total idiot, he had the worst game ive seen from him, every touch he lost the ball and topped it off by acting like a child when taken off. He shud have been glad to be taken off before he lost the ball anymore
Excuse me....to the guys who pipe up in this guys defence game after game......HAVE YOU GOT EYES ??? Ghaly is worse than crap, if i were big MJ i wouldn't even ask for a transfer fee, I would give him his wage cheque and kick him out the nearest fire exit!!! How many times do we actually have to watch this third rate div in out colours to tell hes crap? Best thing he could of done, now i hope he goes
Quote anonymous said "Its just a young lad showing his frustration, its not easy getting subbed after coming on as sub, Im sure he regrets it already and im sure most level-headed people will have calmed down in a few days "
showing his frustration??? did lennon behave that way when he wass subbed in the world cup? to throw his shirt on the floor shows a total lack of respect for everyone associated with the club, from the fans to the coaching staff! he is not fit to wear the shirt and i hope he is never seen in a spurs shirt again! COYS Chris
I haven't been oneo f those on his back, but he's finished at the club. Jol wont stand for that as he does have a quite strict side to discipline and if Ghaly is seen to get away with that and keeps his place in the squad it makes Jol look soft so he will be gone in the summer. Decent game, decent point, I know many seemed certain of the 3 points but it was always going to be tough and we did look a bit tired, undertsandably and at least Sunday means something although I expect it to be an easy day at the office.
I agree that he should never ever play for the mighty Spurs again. We are trying to challenge for the Champions League next season and this guys not good enough to get in a League 1 starting XI. That said he wasn't the worst player for us tonight...TT should have been subbed before Hossam Ghastly. Anyway, when the fans sing 'You're not fit to wear the shirt' to one player, I'm afraid that spells the end of your career at that club. Just not good enough...
if it was me i would have left the sirt exactly where he threw it and sent one of the staff down the tunnel to tell him, he either comes back and picks the shirt up or he is finished at the club.
He should not be disrespecting the spurs shirt like that even if he does disagree with a decision by the man who's job it is to get results.
I thought it was disgraceful what Ghaly did and I think he had a rubbish match. Though, its kind of funny that some of you are calling for him to be sold because he did this. What about when Keane did it during Jol's reign? Should we have got rid of him? I do think Ghaly should go, not because of this, but because he's just not good enough.
I think the Liverpool fans have it right, there is no booing their own team ever, if you have something to say then say it after the match.
Ghaly threw his shirt down, not as an act of petulance, but as a response to the ironic cheer that went up when his number was raised.
I for one am disgusted that there are idiots in the ground that feel it is in any way productive to boo their own players.
If I read one cliched comment in response to this that says "I pay to watch so I have a right to boo the team" I will be disappointed, but not surprised!
i actually clapped the guy off... more out of pity than anything else..until he threw his shirt but i have NEVER seen any player disrespect the club in that way before! if someone does that in a company infront of the companys board members, thier boss and respective customers, they get sacked - simple.
I've never been a fan of Ghaly. He works hard, but his just not good enough with the ball. He is/was never gonne play a big part i Tottehams progress, to push on into the top 4. And after the stunt he pulled tonight. He is finished. We're never gonne forget, nor forgive...
But on the other hand. Supporters boo their own players. Not gonne help anybody.
As for Berbatov and his "inspiration". The guy has been playing almost every game this season, and is allowed to have an off-night. BUT.. I did'nt think he had an off-night. Samba & Nielsen just did a excelent job! Done theit homework. we cant expect Berbatov to be BERBATOV every single match!
and...saying TT was worse than Ghaly is just ludacris! cant be serious.
The way some people are carrying on about Ghaly tonight is ridiculous. He was disappointed with his performance and lobbed his shirt in frustration. Granted, it was not the right thing to do but it shows his passion and fight to be successful. He just wanted to win and play well. Give the lad a break, he just had a bad night. YIDO.
I'm actually really happy he did it. At last we can get rid of him!
He's a rubbish player, a liability, and someone who can't hide behind age or naivety of the game(he's played international football).
Anyone that does that to a Spurs shirt regardless of their ability should be shunted out the door (.....unless it was Berbatov, I may give him another chance :<) )
to say that berba had a poor night is not totally fair. if it wasn't for his composure under pressure from two defenders inside the box, defoe would have never got the chance to get us the draw. gutted keane didn't bang that one in though...
what happened to ghaly tonight was disgraceful, the fans really embarrassed themselves. i was at the game and i got a sense from the players that they really were pissed off at the fans for how they treated him, it really was an embarrassment..to focus on one player and scrutinise on his every mistake. call yourselves spurs fans
i dont think it was right to throw ur shirt like that but our own fans were pathetic getting on his back like that!! its not like he crap on purpose is it! ok i know he dont turn up sometimes but come on is that the way to support our team! its sad really coz with a bit of time he could develop into a good player, he def got the ability. remember the chelsea goal, bet none of u were moaning about him then!! Anyway why did jol not start with keano? im more p1ssed off about that!!
I'm actually a fan of ghaly as I think he's pretty skillful. Tonight he was poor and his reaction to being subbed was worse. He's let himself down and I'd be happy to see him go now. Having said that, the support tonight, especially the 1st half, was disappointing. I was there tonight, block 35, and it was a struggle to get the fans round me singing and supporting the lads. We must do better, after the season we've had, they deserve it. I've had to give my ticket up for sunday, but don't let me or or the boys down. Give it large yidos!!!
The whole team was playing below par and to single out one player is both unfair and stupid. Confidence plays a huge part in players performance and boos wont do anyone any good except for maybe the opposition. I dont rate Ghaly that highly but anybody can have a bad game. He certainly has the dedication, I cant seem to remember many playing on after loosing four teeth...
I never thought I'd see devoted Spurs fans being so fickle...all of you go back through your posts and count how many times this season you've praised HG.....i seem to remember his teeth being knocked out and him playing on....
Get a grip, support your team and be constructive, at least childish petulance shows that he has passion...he's a kid, i'm sure this will be a valuable lesson for him....as it should be for all you who are too quick to sack him....
ghaly is nowhere near good enough if we are to step up to the next level, so is tainio.these players put in effort but just aint got the quality. anthony gardner was our best player last night and deserved to be man of the match.
All opinions are valid as opinions - Jol WILL deal with this as he sees fit and it has to be his decision. It was a good decision to make the the substitution (easy for me to say ag=fterwards) but the tactical transformation was instantly effective.
Hossam Ghaly is a product of Al-Ahly youth team, and he broke into the first team squad in 2001. He played regularly for Al-Ahly until he moved to Feyenoord Rotterdam in 2003. After three troublesome seasons in The Netherlands Ghaly joined Tottenham Hotspur in January 2006. Ghaly has played 19 international matches for Egypt.
whatever Ghaly did, he is very poor and we dont need players like that. we should have won last night. we only woke up in the second half. how dreadful was the first 45 minutes. inexcusable when a win is so vital.
I sit in Block 29 and almost got into a ruck with the guy sitting a row down from me due to difference of opinion. I agree that what Ghaly did was twattish but to boo him and then go on and call him a c*nt... what the hell?
Do you think the rest of the team take inspiration from that?
So basically this guy, said 'He threw the shirt' as reason enough for calling him a c*nt. What about when Keane kicked over the bottles of Lucozade. Is he a c*nt?
Then I told this guy to f*ck off cos he was being overly aggressive. At which point he offered me outside! Might I add this bloke earlier stated that Defoe must be sold. What... despite his 22 goals this season? Good shout...
Ghaly wasn't showing spirit or frustration. Taking off your shirt and throwing it on the floor for everyone to see is making a statement. And that statement is "You're an idiot, you shouldn't have taken me off, here's what I think of your and your team".
And for that reason, whether he's good enough or not, he shouldn't be allowed back. One thing i'm fairly sure of is that he isn't good enough to win back the fans.
And kicking over a set of water bottles is different to throwing the club shirt on the floor, anyone can see that. One is frustration or petulance, the other is disrespect.
bcooper... all that you have just said is your assumptions. By the same token - throwing a shirt off can be taken as a moment of frustration and petulance as well...
Ghaly was wrong, wrong, wrong - I know this. But the fans' reactions were wrong, wrong, wrong as well...
Cheering when he was subbed - wrong. Calling him a c*nt - wrong. It just doesn't help. I'm sure the rest of the team will be well impressed with our patient, supportive attitude....not..
How short your memories are and how fickle - this is the same Ghaly that played most of a game for us despite missing half his teeth when they got booted out by Pamarot. I seem to remember him scoring some useful goals for us this season too.
No excuse for the shirt throwing - just plain disrespectful but to get rid of him? Cobblers.
His agent must be working overtime today. Where the fuck will he find a club, FC Pyramid anyone? I hope Jol gives him a hefty fine. We need an attacking midfielder. Without Robbie we are desperate for someone with vision and creativity. Robbie everynow and then you come along and show your class, Keane forever
I want Dutch players. Martin where is your contact book, it must have some names. Do any players respect or know of Mr Jol, sometimes I think Martin is on the run from the Dutch Mafia. Its just a rumour I heard down the Steeles last week off some Dutch gypsy who likes Spurs because we are Jewish like Ajax. Did anyone else know about our Dutch Jew Ajax Tottenham fans
Its Jols fault. If a player is playing cr*p, normally the manager is able to influence him positively from the touchline. If Martin Jol watched all our games on TV, it wouldnt have made any difference to our results. I believe the only thing Jol has done good is identifying quality players and bringing them to the club. He has made them underperform. Mido looked good last season. This season he looks audinary. This season Berbatov looks on fire. Next season he will be just good under Jol. Hossam Ghaly, Tino Tanio and Jenas are all good players, but under Jol, they are audinary. Give any manager in the league our squad and they would have finished 4th or better. Its not Ghaly's fault. One more thing, than man with the diagrams, has to go. He reminds me of constant failure.
Yes, not a pretty sight, but I would like to throw something on Jol's face too (not a shirt, out of respect for the club) perhaps a wet towell. I don't believe in him.His mistakes and lack of talent are obvious. It was painful last night again to watch such a fragile and lost performance. The talk of the night in the Cafe where we meet to watch football was " what is a guy like Berbatov doing in a team like that"? I couldn't reply as I'm feeling less and less attached to this club. I don't believe Spurs will win a thing next year. Maybe it's time to change club and move to Man U. Hope Berbatov will do the right thing or he will be a "has been" next year.
His response to being subbed was daft and out of order. However, he was the only midfield player who was trying to play an attacking pass to the strikers, every other midfielder was happy to play sideways passes. I'll give you his forward passes were not all that good but he was trying somehting, which is more than some of the other players. The crowd should not have got on his back straight away following his first misplaced pass. However, the chants following his departure were more than fair.
Not been a fan of Ghaly's ever, so gladly cannot be called fickle.
The guy who quoted the summary of his "three troublesome years in Holland" sums him up well. That sort of player will never change and will always be his own enemy with the wrong temperament.
Ok he only cost 1 million, so before this didn't bother me too much whether he stayed as a harmless squad player or goes. NOW HE HAS TO GO otherwise makes Jol look like the big softy people suspect he can be sometimes.
In his defence calling Ghaly a "c*nt" is bang out of order.
P.S. if it is true that Ajax are the Spurs of Holland due to their Dutch Jewish links, then let's have Huntelaar and Schneider please!. May add the extra flair and goals to fire us into the Champs League.
BTW - some people say Ghaly is really skillful with his keepy uppy and the odd trick he does on the pitch, this don't mean nothing if you haven't got the rest of the tools to be a top footballer eg agression, speed and especially the speed of thought and intelligence to make the right decisions when to pass it simple or when to take players on. Ghaly seems to make to many wrong decisions and is a liability as he loses the ball too often.
this guy costs us goals, including the one last night and verryy nearly a second when he lost possession in the middle of the park to a very light challenge. Not only that but he is damn lazy (ala Mido) in tracking back.......good ridance COYS
The bloke is a total wanker, he does that and expects to be played again he can fuck off back to Egypt and stick to building pyramids cos hes shit at football
I smell racism in this forum. For God’s sake, just give the man credit to the spirit he showed whenever his in on the field. With this sort of crab from fans of what is supposed to be "massive club",many potential player Jol will try to bring in will be turned off. Class clubs are supposed to be supported be calls fans or I am wrong!!
No really, I think you've got the right idea. In fact, I've taken a leaf out of your book and I now support AC Milan. We truly shat on your boys the other day.
Losers.
Yid15.
PS. I've changed again and now support Mansfield Town. No, Bradford. No, Cardiff. No Hastings United. No.......
Only joking. good squad player. Should'nt get on players backs like we did. Being cheered off was not funny. Should never do that with a SPURS shirt. At least he has passion. Give him another chance.

Class clubs are supposed to be supported be calls fans or I am wrong!!
re:spurt
No really, I think you've got the right idea. In fact, I've taken a leaf out of your book and I now support AC Milan. We truly shat on your boys the other day.
Losers.
Yid15.
PS. I've changed again and now support Mansfield Town. No, Bradford. No, Cardiff. No Hastings United. No.......
Hang the Bast@rd!
Only joking. good squad player. Should'nt get on players backs like we did. Being cheered off was not funny. Should never do that with a SPURS shirt. At least he has passion. Give him another chance.
Is anyone up for lynching Danny Murphy?
