Berbatov scored one and made one. Two shocking goals conceded and could have been more. I feel my blog from yesterday has been totally vindicated.
4everatwat
vindicated? so you dont think we'll get more than 3 points from our remaining 3 games? you didn't notice that jenas and lennon set up the 3rd goal? you didn't notice that we actually won the game?
at this stage of the season, who gives a stuff if we win 1-0 or 6-5? points make prizes.
yep, berbatov scored 1 and set up 1 - he's a class act and is doing his job; would you rather he didn't?
what a negative twat you really are. with 3 games of the season left, why not be positive and celebrate a victory at a place we haven't won at for 11 years?

amen, danny
Great to see berbatov smiling again.
Anyone else think berbatov & viduka very similar type players only berb more consistent. ?
What a hostile site this is!

hostile? how can i answer when you dont even sign your name? now piss off moron ;-)
fannyboy
(no it wasn't a typo)
If negativity and realism are one in the same then I am guilty as charged. At least I am not walking around with my head up my backside.

Yes there are problem areas in midfield, and yes we have been weaker at the back this season - with a gaping hole left by the absence of Ledley for much of it. There is clearly work to be done but surely you can see the positives in our attacking play this season (and its not all down to Berbatov) and the progress we have made in playing so many extra games and still likely (imo)to finish 5th.
If you cant be or see anything positive about Spurs current form and position then you must live your life under a very dark cloud.

4 ever hopeful.. I think you're forgetting how strong Middlesbrough are at home and how good some of their players are. OK they dont have a very strong team overall but they have people like Downing and Viduka who can set up/score very quickly when given the chance.
Like dannyboy said, it doesn't matter what problems there are with conceding right now as long as we win. We don't even have our 1st team "left back" with Lee out so we're gonna be weaker.
Interestingly tho, anyone else see the article in the Guardian about lennon? Apparantly he makes more than twice as many passes, crosses and shots per match when he plays on the right compared to the left. Sort it out Jol!
Syd:
why do you think that is?
Defence is better but we still concede goals we shouldn't; midfield is crap; why was he smiling before the end of the game?
He scored against Wigan too and wasn't smiling then...
PuzzledYid
4 ever hopeful....you seem to have a fan club here ;-)
Allo Chaps,
Bless Sam Allardyce!...how demoralised will Bolton be for their last couple of games? and Everton getting beaten by the Mancs gives us a great chance of finishing 5th. Why is Jol saying if we don't finish we'll be back for early season training for the intertoto? INSTEAD he should also add he will be very dissapointed if we don't finish 5th...go on MJ...I love you mate, but get more agressive with your demands!...after all it is clear we are the 5th best team in the prem and had a some good cupr runs. Represents slow but sure progression IMO...COYS!!!
Syd - Berba has that cocky smile that you would just hate if he was playing against us...but fortunately the magician is playing in our mighty lilly white colours!...:)
well, thank Heaven he's a white magician then...
yo don vincenzo, how you doing son?
listen, as we're all part of da family, do me a favour mate - nip round to 4 ever hopeful's gaff and stick an 'orses 'ead on his pillow - give 'im sumfink to fink about !!
anyway, good to see you back on here. see you in europe next season !!

Enjoy your holiday with don vicenzo
any one read that french tossers article in the *rsen*ls programme yesterday (the daily mail commented on it today)? what a wanker. just goes to show what a bitter twisted french nonce he really is. coys
We can unite on this one. The French tosser has let himself down and his shambles of a club. Wait til that yank takes control, he'll have every Frenchie out of there and then hopefully they will doa Leeds.
4 ever hopeful
as spurs fans 1st and foremost, we should be united on all things lilywhite. just having a different point of view, doesn't make us enemies. for example - all gooners are tossers, no matter what they comment about! and I certainly ain't no fanny !!!!!
ps - me and the don ain't going on holiday, more a european adventure ;-)

5.52...
is probably the same sorry c*nt that keeps posting idiot on here.
Dear Thierry Henry
Did you really write that article about Spurs celebrating the equaliser at WHL last month? If we are not a threat to Arsenal's superiority, why say such things? Maybe there is nothing else positive to comment about in the good old U S of Arsenal? Are you missing Mr Dein? Are you still injured? Is your career over? Never mind, I have put a bid on EBAY for you for an 'ego inflater' that you can use during your retirement years. You are sooooo coooooool!
Thanks for the memories
Cheers Dannyboy - Vinny tips his hat in your direction.
Yeah great to see some familiar "faces" around ere and good few new ones...Syd, Wendell etc. This blog has really come on, no sign of the Shelf anymore...congrats HH, your dedication and passion has paid off mate.
Which reminds me Harry, in that blog the other day...On JD, agree would be a shame to see him go, but some times a couple of words can make a massive statement and seems like either a blatant slap in the face to JD or an invitation for a few bids from MJ...I suspect the latter. If so we would need a top class replacement...Jans Klaas Huntelaar???...or would it be a gamble on another championship player...Nugent or Camara (cheaper and more likely to join, but personally would love to see the dutchman at the lane, along with his mates Schneider and Van Der Faart, and while were at it chuck Berba's mate Martin Petrov in...:)
7 points is very possible in the next 3 games with the full 9 there for the taking, may guarantee 5th place with some good cup runs and 60 odd games that is progress.
Would like to see a top 4 prem finish priority next season, could be done? if not surely got to be the season after that if players like the Berb and Azza are to stick around.
A few tell tale signs say that the Scums empire is about to crack...Dein gone, Gallas making trouble and Henry is injury prone as well as a big mouthed wanker...and anway...Berba is better than you!...Berba is better than you!...Berba is better than you!
Salut...
Anyone got the Henry Article? let me guess, says something along the lines of "celebrated like they had won"?
He's a very bitter man for some reason. If he cant have a positive outlook on life then who the hell can?!
He's a gayer....
vinny raised it earlier, but anyone know whats happened to the shelf blogspot? where does PARKLEN go to shout these days?
if youre reading this paxton, give us a yell
Re: Tit-iery Henry
Maybe the reason why he is so bitter is "Bloghead" finally got hold of him and tickled his balls!
But no that wouldn't make him bitter...it would make him happy the nonce scummer!
vinny
do you reckon bloghead and parklen have eloped ?!?!?
on another matter, what great news man city have banned their one half decent player for the rest of the season - joey barton. with nerves set to be jangling at the last game of the season, he wont face us, so 3 points to the lilywhites?
what do you reckon 4 ever a tosser?
ahahahaha Mourinho is fucked...again ! ahaahahahah
And it's goodnight from Maureeniho...
Great night for footy...
Well, Berbatov should have detroyed the bastard, but it was a start anyway. Greater powers had to deal with it, so that all are getting what they deserve. But it's not over yet...
Nemesis
Danny,
Didn't he used to have an ongoing thing with either Nemesis or Cheshunt and their team line ups???...lol I must admit that used to have me in stitches!
Looks like Mourhino will be the next to elope unless he tickles Roman's balls lol.
Yeah about Joey Barton...does anyone think he could add a bit of agression to our midfield and develop into a "bit" of a Steven Gerrard or is he too much of a risk winding up team mates?. You must admit if the exgreat "psycho" himslef rates him that much, he must be alright and looks hungry.
Barton,
as in 'Dick'?
would you have barton or zokora?
Harry
I see the shelf is back; has he stolen a march on you with the new kit? Looks classy in my opinion IF it is true.

Anon. 5;57
For me there is no contest. Mischa Barton is much sexier than Zakora.
Barton and Zokora, Barton in front with Zokora sitting behind.
Just think we are short of one agressive midfield general in the style of Gerrard, Lampard or Scholes.
Considering we're not in the top 4 yet and due to his status with Citeh, he may be the only obtainable player of that mould right now. Zokora and Barton would take care of all the work (with Barton chipping in a few goals too) and Lennon, Berba, Keano and our new left midfield/winger will provide all the flair.
The Official Site got the kit pic out first!!!!
(Even if it was a mistake...)
Let's not dwell on Joey Barton. He seems like a bit of a liability to me. A bit like Craig Bellamy. I think that the only players coming in next year should be much better than the present staff. Although he is a player that can have a large impact on games in the EPL, I wouldn't be too upset if he joined Newcastle or Everton etc.
Maybe we could swap him for some of our midfield department. Any requests anyone?
Sydney - Since I wrote that, I saw the pictures of the beating that Barton handed out to Darbo which changed my mind, as could be a potential negative effect if he starts making trouble like that at Spurs. Like you point out similar to Bellamy, talented but a liability. And Edgar Davids tainted some of his positive impact at Spurs when trying to bully Keane and then Jol which was the last straw.
