A Page From A Tottenham Hotspur Fan's Diary

This post turned up on Monday night. It was too good not to publish properly. This is one of the reasons I do this.

This IS where so many of us are...

It’s been a long-difficult day. Serious big job interview has gone impossibly wrong when everything was there for the taking at one stage (around half-time).

I spend the day shifting in the eat at my office desk…anxious, drained, nervous. Awaiting the call from the recruitment agent. The call that would launch me out of this misery and propel me into the outter stratospheres of vocation…my big break...

The call doesn’t come. Yeah they’ll call in the morning. My hands itch to make the call. To know whether I’m a winner or a loser. The call doesn’t come.

The entire night ahead of me agonising over this job..this saviour of my spirit. Friends suggest I pray. I’m a non-believer so that’s no use…

…Instead I sit with a six pack of lager watching shorts of Berbatov’s goals on this site…and links to youtube. There are two that I have watched about twenty times already(I’m on my third can). The last two have ACTUALLY brought real tears to my eyes. Oh yes I was on the verge of bawling watching Berba jinx a defender, dance pass the goalkeeper and curl the ball past the outstretched leg of a hapless defender.

Everytime I watch things feel a bit better, about my job, about my sorry life, even about my ex-girlfriend(who I hate) – all of these irks wash away from me as I watch through the mist in my eye the grace and poise and beauty of Berbatov.

And so I realise that He has made me feel better. He has healed me. He makes my heart leap with joy when I think of Him.

I’ll spend the rest of my evening thinking of hymns to sing to Him. I’ll watch him weave his magic; I’ll even manage the occasional smile just to know that He plays for Spurs!

Berbatov is God.

Can’t smile without you

strange...on the 27th someone else posted here (THS-Bolton-All Five Goals)the best praising of Berbatov I've ever read (and I read a few) and there is no special award for it...strange...unless this winner is not that anonymous, Harry...
(I surely would like to know what Berby thinks about this)

Check the actim index, that's the best praise for Berba, not this soap-opera bigotry.
I said before he's going to be the quickest adaptation to the English game ever and he should get an award for that.

Info about Braga: the worst defeat they ever had was 24 years ago a 9-O( that's a nine-zero)with (guess who?
Mighty Spurs!

FFS. I thought I had it bad. My mrs thinks I'm mad for my love of Keano. If we can keep Berba & Lennon, get a proper left-winger, get (and keep) King fit, we're CAPABLE of beating anyone, anyday. C.O.Y.S. Y.A!

I dont about watching Berbatov but I tell you, I work from home and lost a days work on Monday, watching the rerun of the West Ham game over and over and over. That backpass from Lennon, was out of this world!
