Spurs Ready To Bargain

Based upon Fulham games that I have been able to sit all the way through, Routledge looked dynamic enough to have earnt a permanent place in the starting line up with the ahem, 'Cottagers'.

News reaches Hotspur Towers that Fulham would be very interested in doing a deal. He's young, promising and doesn't mind being managed by a Geordie who has yet to master the subtleties of chewing with his mouth closed.

Chris Coleman has said that Tottenham won't let him sign Wayne as he is part of a deal with another club.

I won't enter into speculation as to who the other club are, but it does make sense if Spurs are not going to recall Routledge to replace the now surely spent Tainio, what are they planning to do with him?

The bargaining, as I interpret things, is with 'a n other', rather than Fulham.

who is the geordie?
thought coleman was from wales

My apologies for mis-diagnosing his either way insanely stupid and grating accent.

Perhaps if he only put one stick of gum in his gob at a time rather than the entire packet...

yet again HH shows why he doesnt hold a Real Life job.....Tainio actually has bags of skills which were shown during pre-season. however due to Jol being so Fing clueless about our midfield, he hasnt got the best out of tainio who should be given a more dedicated role either deep with hard tackles, or pushed right up field to put through balls in for the forwards. the latter being the best aspect to his game. instead jol tries to make him feel both roles.

Maybe if jol got off his ass and stopped playing overweight-slow-mo-huddlestone we would have a bite in our midfield. and for god sakes DROP ROBBO Ffs!

You're a wise man. I dream of a team of Tainio's.

I also dream of visiting lots of new grounds next season. NOT.

Pre season form and you're talking about that in January??

Don't let my employment status distract you from the fact that TT has had his day. Regardless of Jol's management.

I said it in an earlier blog today. Taino is a Championshipship player. So is Gardner, Ziegler, Davids, Stalteri, Mido, Ekotto and Murphy. Now our squad doesn't look so big does it?

What about Y P Lee? It is probably only short term but he has been a revelation since he got back into the team

Lee, Dawson, Malbranque, Defoe etc all really WANT it and have the talent to deliver. Teemu has been a great guy. Now let's move on.

One weakness among yids can be this emotional bond with players who aren't up the job.

That's how I see the difference.

personally i think the priority should be a decent left back, we still havent filled this position and opposing teams have seen this weakness, how many times have you seen the ball just hoisted up the field into this position, i think lee won one header against newcastle and that was just a fluke, he is so weak, he cant even put his foot through the ball when he clears the lines, malbranque does ok on the left, dont blow your cash on a left winger levy, sort out the left back position first, wayne bridge would probably be available. if not expect to see more instability of our defence, ball after ball being lobbed into the leftback position and average players like milner looking good.

Do you seriously believe that Bridge is going anywhere?

ive been reading the various comments about dropping englands no1. from the spurs first team, are you all mad??? ok he hasnt been as good this season but no goalkeeper in the world was stopping martins drive yesterday, we need jenas back quickly, tainio isnt up the job, ok he might give 100% but hes just not real class, he doesnt spray the ball around very well, he hasnt got much pace, he doesnt dribble the ball overly well, hes just an every day squad player at best, personally i would persivere with zokora, he has an abundance of pace, he might give the ball away now and again but give him time, get a decent left back in for *uck sake, ive watched teams over the whole season just lump it up to there right winger and our left backs either l.y.p or ekkoto (sod looking up the spelling) make them look good, i mean milner is hardly a heavyweight but lee just couldnt handle him or any other right winger for that fact. lee might have the nickname 2 game cos they say hes fit enough to play 2 games one after the other, well if he could play one game id be happy. Please jenas & ledley hurry up and come back before our season is over. wayne bridge come to whl and sort out our leftback position, apparantly you didnt sign before because you wanted assurances of a first team place, we *uck me dead on a lions back how can you be worried with the competition you have at spurs.

and no i dont believe bridge will come to the lane, but hes not gonna get a lot of first team football at chelsea, how long will he fancy that?? dont get me wrong i dont think bridge is that good, im just saying spurs need someone like him to sort out this position once and for all. bollox id take konchesky over our current leftbacks and hes not exactly international class is he.

Lucas Neil would sort that left position out. Got that steel about him that dont let anyone make a mug of him. looks like he has adapted well to the left at Blackburn too, even gets decent crosses in and could cover centre back position when needed as well, just like he does for the Aussies. Then never thought I would say this but bring Gareth Barry in on the left of midfield too who could also cover left back and balance out the midfield with a bit of grit on that left side at times we need to see games off. Those 2 in addition to a decent left winger (maybe Young) would sort out the whole of the left side as well as add much needed leadership which is also clearly missing. We need more captain figures or we're in danger of forever remaining same old inconsistent soft touch Spurs, instead of the ruthless champions league side we want to become. Had enough of too many sub-par squad players like Pyo, Ghaly,Davids, Murphy, Tainio and Mido. You know there's a problem when we're starting to miss Jenas as if he is Maradonna lol!

we've covered that, you fucking idiot.

No worries anon mate, youre one of us, youre one of da family.

Danny, HH, tipping my hat in your direction.

Look we need to start this barganing crap soon!!

1/3 of our squad is not good enough!

Our first team when fully fit is excellent with a slight strengthening of the left side!

But you cant play Huddlestone and Tainio in the same team... cause then you have two players in centre mid with no legs and minimal movement to help our strikers!

Jol MUST play Jenas and Huddlestone which will allow Jenas to push up and down which he has the ability to do with ease!

As for that fat **** Robbo... hes been a nightmare all season! His decision to come for the ball are shocking and doesnt look like he can save any half decent shot!

Englands number 1??? well if hes number 1 then ive got a good chance of being number 2!

if youre englands no2, are you a REALLY fat bastard then ?

HH - glad you got rid of the verification shite - well done. let shelfy copy your lead. be a leader, not a follower!

Never mind Tainio, isn't it about time Zokora got back in the team?

And as for a left-back, i hope the stories about Heinze are true... although i can't see him giving up a possible Premiership winners medal..
