Breaking news in from a source so hot and bright that it could power an unimaginable quantity of power consuming things....
Bale IS coming to White Hart Lane and to that end will undergo a medical examination today.
I am told that the proposed contract is for a term of 5 years and subject to the whole thing going mammary glands up, this will be a done deal by the weekend. I don't have any genuinely additional info, and shall resist the opportunity to either copy other people's guesses at the money involved or what promises of first team footy have been made.
I have been critical of others running transfer stories and rightly so. My point being that I am ONLY running this as the chap providing the tale is a geezer of some standing and I have every reason to believe HE thinks this to be kosher. Apologies all round in advance if it turns out to be twaddle

Awesome. Genuinely excited about this transfer prospect. To snap up someone as good as that when he's so young is exactly what Jol needs to do.
Tottenham looking to be very strong in the coming seasons.
I was having a drink last night with Levy, Comolli and Jol who all insisted bale was coming to spurs.
I still don't believe it.
I think this is just what spurs need if this turns out to be true. The left back position has been our only problem in the last couple of seasons, if we end up not signing Gareth we should go for Pompeys Matty Taylor!
Archerr.
hh, your bright, powerful geezer insider would care to confirm what a little bird told me this morning: Berba is playing tomorrow??!!

Re; michael
"The left back position has been our only problem in the last couple of years"??
If that has truly been our 'only' problem then our lack of success suddenly looks even more shocking.
I'd say 'one of many' and 'a lot more than a few years'. In fact, I'd like to hear some opinions on who our last high quality left back was.
Chris Hughton anyone?

youngpowerlessindirestraitsspurfan-
The only other info I was able to obtain was that if my pizza took longer than 45 minutes it would be free....
Re: Berba playing tomorrow...
Spurs website confirms he won't be after he picked up a groin injury thanks to Gooners. Although Jenas, Rocha and Stalteri may be playing/on the bench.
Bale is a brilliant player but the goofiest looking bastard I have ever seen in my life. On the plus side, I heard he can pick up satellite radio with those ears.
ya, gents, no Berba tomorrow. let's see how Keane and Defoe( and Mido, if he hasn't been sold yet)will manage. any top ten Prem team should crash Southend. will Spurs do it?
we beat them before and we're better now :-)
2-0 to the Hotspur says I
mido must play tomoro if berbatov dont. the game against the scum proves once and for all that little and little cant play together ffs.
anyhow, if bale signs, he will be back at soton for the rest of the season and we can expect a huddlestone - too much pressure on someone so young?
"Berbatov won't be involved"- just another brilliant statewment from Jol. Mind you he was reading the injury list!
What does he mean? he's he out on a holiday? did he run back home? is he refusing to play? is he leaving during this transfer window?
Bo.l.x!! Please get us a boss with the brain's language sector working properly.
So no one who watches the reserve or youth sides posts on this site then?
Come on Harry, you're a man who's well informed of all things Spurs. How about a post or even article on the current progress of the young talent learning their trade. How's Dixon since that injury? How're Pekhart and Defendi getting on? Didn't we buy a Dutch or Swedish lad a little while back?
Anyone?

Mmmn. If the story is a load of rubbish, we'll ALL know very soon.
In the meantime, apologies for Tourettes boy... to everyone else.

Berba went to Germany to see his doctor. It seems Jol didn't want to give details yesterday and perhaps he did well not to scare fans and players. Hope the injury is not serious. We miss Berba always but we have a team good enough to beat Arsenal without him and that's how it should be.
COYS ! Go for the CUPS !
8.06 Well said & cheers for the info.
