And on more than one occasion he has produced some very important saves for us, not to mention in the cup final. Of course his decision making this season has been terrible, and it doesn't need stating that we need someone that can organise things with authority between the sticks. But I for one will be waving Robbo goodbye with a fond farewell, and remember that he wore the shirt with pride. I don't deny he's talented, but I would rather not have the goalkeeper of all people going AWOL for a month! A striker may be one thing... but the man between the sticks? Additionally he's been linked to ManUre, which may not aid our cause.<BR/><BR/>I'd prefer someone like PSV's Gomes but he signed a contract extension there late last year, and seems quite settled in Holland. Has a great clean sheet record, can throw the ball over half the length of the pitch, and dare I remind us all, has the right attributes for penalty saves...<BR/><BR/>Villareal's Diego Lopez (previously linked I believe) too recently signed a new contract.<BR/><BR/>I'm sure Ramos and co. have their eyes on someone!
